HC&C shave bowl vs. Captains Choice copper bowl

Can anyone compare these bowls.  Which creates a quicker lather and cleans up easier?  Is there really a difference between the two bowls?
Also, as to the HC&C bowls, is there any difference in lathering between the polished and unpolished versions.

I doubt anyone can really detect any meaningful difference in lather building or cleaning performance between these.

The quality of your soap, cream, brush and water will have more of an impact on your lather building than these bowls. Though, surely a bowl that has more bumps or ridges may help marginally accelerate the lather making.

After contacting the company and taking their advice, I bought the unpolished bowl.  The unpolished bowl lathers much quicker than the polished bowl and shows much fewer scratches and fingerprints.  It also cleans extremely quickly.

I have found that a bowl makes a difference only in the time it takes to build the preferred lather and the time it takes to clean the bowl.  The end results are the same to me.

Both great. Mostly an aesthetic decision, although Copper does require more maintenance to keep it from oxidizing.

Bowls are nice (at least ceramic ones) if you want warm lather. Sometimes I use one on cold winter days. Also useful for creme that comes out of a tube.
