Thought I'd share my shave today and resurrect this thread. I have not even set this knot yet but it set into the vintage handle snug enough to use. It's a Boti Badger knot. No test lather, I just soaked in warm water for a few minutes and I used it. Not a SINGLE hair lost. Will it loose any later ? Maybe. It could very well never loose a hair too as I will repeat that I have had knots that NEVER shed a single hair. Is that what I expect? No, that would be an unrealistic expectation. But for the one or 2 individuals that said if someone said they had a knot that never shed they were a liar (they used other words due to a lack of vocabulary) I say, sorry you're so unhappy and have lousy brushes  Tongue

All my brushes Shavemac, Thatter, Semogue, Zenith and some US artisan brushes etc.  are not shedding. Maybe 1 or 2 hairs since I bought them. I had a Simpson Chubby and it was shedding so much that I gave it away.

I’ve lost more hair than any of my brushes!

I’ve never had a ‘problem’ shedder, and I certainly have some brushes that haven’t shed any hairs. Most of my brushes will sometimes lose a hair or two. I expect that and I don’t care. Even for brush brands that very rarely seem to shed, this wouldn’t factor into my future purchase decisions. I consider it trivial compared to the performance and feel of the knot, and the comfort and attractiveness of the handle. I would probably start to get annoyed if a brush lost more than, say, five hairs every time, and it never settled down, but I never had a brush like that.

All my Paladin Brushes haven’t lost a hair yet, now to me it’s natural product and it’s normal to loose at some point here and there.

My WW TGN knots are also great didnt loose any hairs at all that I can remember.
