I've emailed 3x but no response at all so I've really no idea whether he's received or read the emails at all. I rather hope when it's sent (I believe about 6 weeks) that it doesn't go to my old home address. Fingers crossed on this. I know it's a small business and all though it would be handy if emails regarding orders were read and replied to.

I've no concerns about the razor itself as a mate got one and it's a fantastic razor though it could prove problematic if I never receive it if sent to the wrong address.  Sad

Any update on if it will be sent to the correct address?

I have an Overlander razor stand on order; it's been about 6 weeks without an answer to emails about its status. I knew what I was getting into since I've already had previous dealings with the company. Waiting much longer will likely be futile as well, but I'll hold off a bit longer before taking further steps. The Overlander's a great razor, unfortunately it comes with the rest of the Karve experience.

It was posted in another neighborhood... the Overlander seems to have gone up in price, approx $20 USD. Ouch!

I just checked their site and compared it to a receipt from a year or so ago... yep, it's now $109.58 USD for the OL Aluminum. Inflation has hit Karve, I guess.

(Had to fix some numbers... Between CAD to USD conversion and my morning Whiskey n' Wheaties, I couldn't count. All fixed now!)

It could be inflation, then again it could be his customer service catching up to him again and he's trying to offset it by raising prices. It seems like the Overlander is the only razor he is selling lately so why not make up the shortfall on what's selling?

It appears to be across the board. I paid about $175 for my Copper CB and it is now approximately $212, and I paid around $92 for my LE Aluminum. The SS went from around $150 to just under $195. It sucks, but I'm sure it's not just raising prices for the sake of raising prices. Prices have gone up all over on all kinds of things.

I absolutely agree. Everything from food to cars to shoes to bic pens have shot up. In fact, I can't think of a lot of increases in shaving. Those that did waited as long as they could. Just another great example of our great vendors in this industry.

Now where did I come up with those random examples of inflated prices... Weird... Bic pens?!?? Lol.

I love Bic pens. Haha, I really do. But, seriously, there is only so long you can absorb the increased costs. Some of the increases that I have seen from most of the shaving artisan and vendors that most of us probably use have ranged from mild increases to maybe a little bit more than I would like to have seen personally, but if you're losing money, you're not in business. Prices have to increase. From overhead, raw materials, shipping, etc. That's the unfortunate reality sometimes.

When I talked to Chris about my order he did tell me he was short handed and was looking for dedicated customer service people. I do hope he gets that sorted out because we all know how important that is for any business, big or small. It was especially frustrating for me because I had added extra parts to my order and wanted to change metals on my one CB razor and wanted confirmation that the request had been received. I love the razors and Chris is a nice guy, so it I hope it works out. From Karve's IG:
