My first shave with the H&S Ti Efficient was excellent! Definitely one of the best first shaves I've had with a new razor.
Here's a bit of background to put my review into context:
I shave my head and face about every other day. I used cartridges until December 2021 when my brother got me interested in traditional wet shaving with SE and DE razors. Over the past ~13 months I have definitely been afflicted with RAD and bought a couple dozen razors. As I've gained more experience, I've come to prefer razors with a bit of blade feel and good efficiency. A few of my current favorites are the Yates 921-H & EH, Alpha Outlaw, Timeless Slim Titanium, Lambda Athena, and Rocnel Sailor. I own two titanium razors - the aforementioned Timeless Slim and a Tatara Masamune Nodachi.
For this morning's shave, I did two passes on my head followed by three passes on my face. I started with the grain on my head, and I felt like I was able to use this razor on autopilot after the first few strokes of that first pass. The angle was very easy for me to find and maintain. After the against the grain pass, my head was BBS without any hint of irritation. With some razors, I have to do some clean up after the second pass, but this razor didn't require any.
The face shave was a similar story. The razor was very smooth with nice efficiency. It was very easy to handle, and the weight/balance were great. I did get the slightest bit of blood appearing in a couple spots around my chin where I got a little overzealous on my final (ATG) pass. Overall, the process and results were excellent. I was really impressed by how easy this razor was to use on this first shave. There really wasn't much of a learning curve at all. If the next few shaves are just as good, I might be looking to add this razor to my lineup!
