I agree Dan.  IMO will also be a huge something if it can be effectively used brushless.  At home I could care less, but it would be very convenient to have first class lather without having to carry and dry out a brush while travelling - and the stick format shown in the photo is excellent for that.

As always, time will tell, but FWIW I'll be keeping an eye out for this one.
100% agree with Mike. This new soap sounds pretty awesome to me.

I was recently searching for a great non-lather cream for travel purposes. I failed and went back to the idea of carrying a brush. This will definitely give me another go at that option.

BTW, mrdoug this is not a soap.

Some wetshavers tend to disregard preshaves and shave oils, but the GD formulations of these products aim to challenge this notion. There have been instances where I've been able to sway people's opinions, and let's just say preshave sales numbers have been impressive.

To get a preview of this cream's effectiveness, I suggest experimenting with the newest version of the Grooming Dept Moisturizing Preshave. When you mix the Grooming Dept Shave Oil + Preshave + the new Alcohol Free Splash, you can achieve approximately 80% of the cream's capabilities. By also incorporating the impressive new Aion Nourishing Balm into the formula, you'll be very close to the desired outcome.

All of my formulations are interconnected and rely on one another, including the developments of soap formulas.

Sorry about that Mo. I just used the term soap out of habit. You did call it a cream, and I would assume a brushless option would need that level of consistency.

My bad.

Good God, the perfect Fritz Lang villain in looks and manner, haha.  Seriously, envy his perfect facial proportions, symmetry and skin; he really is an excellent straight shaver (maybe best ever witnessed).

Thanks Mo; nice post.

I agree, this is exceptional. I don't watch shaving video often, certainly not twenty minute videos. I think this is something more safety razor users should see, there is a lot in this to appreciate and learn from. He spent 5+ minutes on facial prep and about 3 minutes on the first pass, that is the right balance right there! If he had used less soap, that could be it for many people, 10 minutes in and out of the washroom. The razor reminds me of my vintage stainless Henckels that I adore as much as he does his Dovo.

I have to ask Mo... Is it purple because it'll be a lavender scent? I'm on the fence about grabbing a puck of the Red "soap". I don't care for Lavender, though, so this will definitely push me in the direction of the Rose. Thanks.

The red Soap is a fancy hotel Rose type scent Smile Neither scent contains Lavender.

This one is an Orris/violet scent.

The GD violet Orris scent is a clean/soapy/floral/fruit with a hint of light woody tobacco. It's an elegant violet scent.
