Mail call!! I just receive the Aion in Nai Base. It has a very pleasant light woody scent that balances well with the scent of the ingredients. It is a very firm soap that should last a long time; my thumb pressed firmly on the soap barely leaves an indentation. It is perhaps one of the firmer GD soaps I have tried. It also has 5.25-5.5 ounces of soap in the container versus the 4 ounces as predicted. I can't wait to shave with it in the morning.

I just had a great shave with Aion this morning. It loads and lathers very easily which produces a very creamy and well hydrated shiny lather. The scent is of a light wood which is just strong enough to cover the scent of the ingredients. The shave was on par in terms of slickness and protection with the other GD bases. Where this soap shines is in the post shave comfort. My face feels so smooth and comfortable right now. While it was more expensive, the ingredient list is full of expensive and exotic butters and oils. It is a harder soap and weighed in at over 5 ounces so rapid depletion shouldn’t be an issue.
This base is another home run from GD. I have recently tried M&M Kodiak and Milksteak and my face likes Aion better. If Ruds doesn’t give it a score of 100, I will seriously question his review criteria and/or motivation for scoring others higher.
