I have usually abstained from comparing Grooming Dept formula to each other Smile Nai on the other hand is a different breed, it's unlike any other base made by GD anyone else. It's more of a cosmetic product with one foot in the soap world.

I was telling a customer about Nai, and my thoughts on it. I suggested to him that Nai is really not for people who like to switch soaps everyday. Nai is for people who want a product that's designed for daily/every-other-day usage.

Nai's impact on the current formulas is massive! Mallard and Janus Vegan will be the first to get a trickle effect upgrade.

Possibly a crazy question, but any chance you'll sell samples?

I definitely need to try your soaps at some point, but I can't possibly get another full tub of soap that will just go to waste with my current lineup.

Hi mrdoug

I'm sorry, there are no samples available of this formula.

You gotta try the other formulae, Many people believe they're extraordinary Smile If you'd like, for the cost of shipping I'd be happy to send you 1.5 ounces of 3 other soap bases to try. If you're interested please send me a message at: sales@groomingdep.com.

I have absolutely no problem with that. My face is certainly worth what will probably amount to no more than a few more cents a day. I’m worth it....Bring it on!

I would love to try any of your formula. I sent you a PM after the email bounced back as undeliverable.

Thanks.

To satisfy my curiosity about what Ruds rated as a 100 score soap, I spent the last three mornings shaving with Declaration’s Milksteak base. Then this morning, I switched to Grooming Dept’s Vegan Base Valencia. I was really impressed with how much slicker GD’s Vegan base was than Milksteak. I also preferred the post shave feeling of GD’s soap. In my opinion, GD’s soap would rank higher than the Milksteak.

Ruds ALWAYS underrates GD. Who knows...maybe they doesn’t work for him....or perhaps something more sinister? Rolleyes
Anyway....all ratings are YMMV as we see....

Very interesting! I almost bought some of the Milksteak soap from Declaration but then Mo did his latest release of the Nai formula soap and I am so excited about that new soap base that I forgot about the other soaps I had been considering. It is still hard for me to try new soaps as I have been so enamored with the GD collection. I have recently acquired some Jabonman soaps and they are right up there with GD soaps but I am still so engrossed in GD that it is hard to go any other way. Glad to hear your statement though, just checked that off my list!
