Let’s try to let those cooler heads prevail, OK?

Many suggestions have already been made on this thread before, and Mohammad has acknowledged that there is room for improvement. An operation like this is a great undertaking for just one person. I, for one, wish Mohammad good luck in going forward and making any necessary changes that help the business run more smoothly.

My order arrived today. To my eye and nose Pekin unscented duck and Tacit unscented tallow look and (smell) the same. Although there is no added scent obviously ... to me unscented bases still have a scent attributed to their contents. I am curious to see the texture difference when lathering and shaving between the two.

I'm sorry for the shipping delay, thank you for your business Marcos.

All the unscented soaps should smell nearly identical. I suggest trying them in a blind test Smile I look forward your thoughts on them.

So, I have scaled back my comments on the various GD forums because I have been accused of being a fanboy and defending Mo too much at times. The reason why I never really get bent out of shape over shipping issues is because I have so many soaps but that’s not to say that I don’t get anxious to get my soaps like everyone else. I used Earl Grey this morning and DAMN, once again Mo has upped the game!! I was in awe using that Mallard soap and the scent is just amazing!! I used my Declaration B3 brush and my Sabre L2 for an incredible shave this morning. The lather was stupendous and the Shave during and after feel are wonderful. I am still smelling the scent on my face hours later and I just can’t get enough of it!! I had Angel as my favorite but this one hit another high for me. Next up will be the Chai Mallard. Here’s a pic of my reworked shaving soap drawer as I have moved everything other than GD, CRSW and WK to a shelf in another bathroom closet. First 2 rows are GD.[Image: 6967c1584dcbe2f5d09fdeea3b8ecc8c.jpg]

That’s an insane soap collection! Do you worry about spoilage or rancidity with a collection that large? Is there a shelf life to this stuff?

In general, from what I have been told by a well-known artisan, most soaps should be fine for a few decades, really.
I have had quite a few of my Mystic Water pucks for over seven years and they seem to be just fine, other than being a bit harder than original due to a loss of water over these years. My pucks even smell lovely, so the scent is still quite noticeable.

On Mohammad’s advice I started drying the soaps for 48 hours after use by leaving the lids off. I think this routine really helps as well to keep air moving and lessens the chance of mold issues. Just my 2 cents.

They seem to be fine. I kind of go through a rotation but lately I have been reaching more for GD and CRSW Glide more than WK. I still love WK Donkey Milk and about to order a few more of them. GD and CRSW Glide are just superior to everything and WK is right there too. I can say this with confidence as I have over 250 soaps by several other artisans. Yes, I’m an addict!!

I also rinse out the excess lather in each tub when I finish and let them dry before closing the top and putting them back. This does wonders for the upkeep and longevity of any shaving soap.
