It’s really interesting reading the CRSW Glide threads and how they are just raving about this new Glide formula.  Hate to throw some shade but I don’t think any of them have tried GD soaps yet and they REALLY need to.

Yes I did. I bought all 3 and am a big fan of CRSW. I like Glide. I used the Olfactory Hue yesterday and it is really good. Very nice shave experience. I do put GD soaps on a higher pedestal though. In particular, post shave is much better for my skin and the lather build is instantaneous with GD. Different formulas but both outstanding soaps!

I think there is a great deal of innovation going on among artisan soap makers. Competition is wonderful, this is what our capitalist society is built on. Maintaining professionalism and courtesy among us is very important.

I have few friends who work in Michelin starred restaurants. Competition is brutal, but most are friends with each other. It's very easy for them to hang out for a beer or glass of wine and enjoy each other's company. I believe animosity, fanboyism should have no place in the various wetshaving spheres. Courtesy and respect should be fundamental in our interactions; this why I love DFS, there is a lot of that around here.

My journey is based on experimentation, relentless learning and research. For example this week I got two ingredients which I'm testing out. No artisan has used them yet. They're Methyl Gluceth-20 & Hydroxypropyl Methylcellulose. I will be using one or both in some base at some point. I'm not going to loose my mind if another artisan decides to use them

All artisans at some point will cross paths and use similar ingredients. No one ingredient will make a product superior to all others. It might give it a notch above some, and if that product is that good other artisans should look at it, get the ingredients, make some magic That's what I did with SV soaps.  But ultimately the artisans' imagination and understanding of what they're working with is what makes some products more enjoyable than others.

It all boils down to creativity just as you say. There's always room in this world for good competition. You have certainly risen to the top and rightly so.

Your product is hands-down beyond anything I've ever used. And your customer service is out of this world. I don't know how you do it all by yourself like that.

Keep it up. I don't know what I would do if I had to go back to using the inferior soaps.

This is my first post on DFS. I’m very active on a couple other forums and have been doing some soap reviews that have put GD soaps at the top of over 30 soaps reviewed thus far on the threads. A buddy on TSD referred me to this thread for the inside scoop on all things GD. Looking forward to being “in the know”. Maybe i’ll Snoop around on DFS while I’m here.

I took the vegan base which went through 63 iterations and modified it to work with the beef tallow profile, 24 iterations later, I feel I have a created a unique soap which I'm very proud of. I hope you like it too.

I think I want to keep giving these formulas a shot Mohammad. These have all been very impressive and they do perform very well. The reason I haven't used a few of them more is simply because we come to find some things that make up more comfortable during a shave and I tend to stick with a select few. Anyways, I will throw it out there that I would probably enjoy a non perfumed soap IF it was offered. Not that I don't like the scents but it tends to be something that can get in the way from me using something quickly and more frequently.

Is this tallow formula firmer than previous soaps after curing?
