I came with three scents which have a strong cardamom note. I asked wyze0ne which one should go with which base. Here is the first one. based on his preference.



November 21 (tallow+ duck)
Incense & Rose - Bergamot, Clementine, Rose, Cardamom, Orris, Myrrh, Cedarwood Texas, Balsam Fir, Castoreum, Vetiver, Patchouli

I have used Texas Cedar with Balsam Fir before as well as Vetiver with Patchoulli and enjoyed the combinations. One of my favorite shave soaps (although it was a tester and never went full on production) was Italian made Rose, Bergamot and Neroli.

Your mix Mohammad sounds interesting. Never used Orris but wanted to confirm, is Castoreum supposed to be sweet and warm smelling?

Castoreum depending on how it's used: It can be leathery, smokey, sweet, a bit tar-like, astringent, ambery, some are floral too and definitely animalic.

I'm combining Balsam Fir absolute with Balsam Fir EO. The absolute is powerful and has incredible intensity.

Cant wait to try this. Has been marked as a buy when released

My GroomingDept Mallard Soap continues to impress! Beautiful shave today, Slickness, Cushion, and Post Shave are just top notch. I finished the Shave by applying the remaining Soap to my face while cleaning up, and my face is feeling  outstanding! Really looking forward to these upcoming releases, especially Rose and Incense! It’s going to be a great month!

I LOVE MY DUCK - Quack quack.

Today was shave 2 with the new duck base, Mallard. And holy smokes, this could
be my new favorite.

This is possibly slicker than the vegan base - if that is even
technically possible. Unbelievable slickness. And protection galore.

I can tell the difference between the vegan and the duck. The duck base
has a different after the shave feeling. It is a bit lighter feeling on
my face after an hour or so. Lighter than the vegan. It is a tad lighter
than the Aether too.

The scent popped as well when I opened the jar. What is it with you and
scents? It takes a few shaves and then all of a sudden the scents get
stronger. This is a nice and sophisticated scent.

I want mooooooooooore in this base.

I am in love with a duck!

I am really enjoying my Duck tallow based Grooming Dept soaps lately. Great job and congrats on the success, Mohammad. I particularly enjoyed the Mallard scent and I am going to get some backup when it's back on the site.

Sounds as though am employed by grooming dept but can’t stop raving about the performance!

All of the soaps are just plain really really nice. Love the scents and really looking forward to the aftershaves!
