A quick update on the stock. Aether and Yuzu are sold out! I really wanted to keep Aether in stock, but an ingredient essential to the fragrance won't be available for 3 months. Aether and Yuzu will return next Spring. Credence (lemon & violet) and Ambrosia (Pipe tobacco with a twist) will arrive on 9/25 in the tallow+duck base. Kölnisch will return in the vegan base.

Thank you so much for your phenomenal support.

Mohammad, I am honestly having a hard time deciding which two (maybe 3) soaps I am going to try next. Unfortunately, the lavender from the earlier release wasn't in agreeance with my nose. But many of the new scents are VERY appealing. I'd like to try one of the new veggie formula and one of the tallow or tallow/duck. I am big on citrus and floral mix but in addition, some of these spicy or woody notes included in the new soaps are appealing to try in winter CA weather.

As far as veggie formula, I am between Magnolia, Neroli Di Bois, Ambra, Basique, and Voyage. I use to be super into Italian made citrus shave soaps. My favorites were TFS Orange Blossom and Jasmine, TFS Bergamot Neroli (Orange Creamsicle), TFS Mandarin and Spice. I have no idea if you have smelled any of those or tried any of the RR packaged soaps that are the same scents but any recommendations?

Side note, my best wishes to you as you get ready for your surgery. Maybe I missed it or kept it private but none the less, I hope it goes smoothly and gives you some earned time off of all the work you got going on lately. Cheers my friend!

EDIT:
Went with Magnolia, Neroli Di Bois and Voyage.

Hi Zac, sorry for the late reply, but I had to go to sleep Smile

I think those are fantastic picks. Thank you so much for your order. I can't wait to read your thoughts on the soaps.

Are the remaining vegan soaps in stock a permanent line-up or will they rotate in and out with other scents?

Hi gregcss, thanks for asking. I'll continue to rotate scents, but some will stick around longer than others. I have lots of vegan scents in the works too.

Just looking at the post above and knowing the ingredient base why anyone has NOT tried GroomingDept by now is beyond me!

Hi Mohammad and group,

I just got the 4 soaps I ordered. Since I knew I would have them today, I didn't shave till they came. I started with Basique for my first shave.

To me this is a very nice smelling soap. Not overpowering at all. Maybe a 6 on a scale of 10 in terms of strength of smell. Still very nice. I liked it a lot.

With that out of the way, let me just say I have never shaved with a non tallow soap before so wasn't sure what to expect. And let me tell you, I'm stunned. This soap is slick. I mean REALLY, REALLY slick. It is slicker than the best I have used so far which is the CRSW latest version which is a tallow soap. This goes a good few steps beyond. The face feel is superb. And by that I mean, in a class by itself.

In fact I'm not sure "soap" is the right word for this. It feels more like that I went to a salon for a demonstration of the next big European facial product for men or something. I've never felt anything quite like it. It is true that it is not heavy. But it is luxurious to the extreme. I almost didn't want to wash it off. And I did put the remainder on my face and left it for about 5 minutes while I cleaned up. My face is so soft that I'm in disbelief that this could even be possible with a shave "soap". I would believe it if you told me it was a rejuvenation cream, that's for sure.

Along with my 4 products today came my two new brushes. A new Cashmere and a new Tuxedo. Both knots from APShaveCo. I used the Cashmere. And what a treat. It is so soft. So that combined with the Basique was beyond words.

Here's another interesting point. I loaded the brush for 4 seconds. And could have stopped at 3. I do splay the brush into the soap, still it didn't take much. And it whipped up quickly and easily - and I have hard water.

I can't quit touching my face. It is so soft and smooth.

Mohammad, this is a winner. Hands down the best soap I have. And this is just my first use.

It took a lot to get this soap to me in Nicaragua. First the hurricane in Houston caused a delay. Then the one in Florida delayed it again. But it was well worth the wait.

If you are still reading, thank you. And if you have not tried one of these soaps, give yourself a real treat. Discover all over again the luxurious art of wet shaving.

Now I can't wait for tomorrow to see if I can replicate today's shave.
