What scents are coming up in the duck fat version? I hope you're including something for us hot weather shavers..

HYPE

Thanks for asking! The first tallow scent will be Aether and should be hot weather friendly Smile Notes are: Petitgrain, Peppermint, Orange, Grapefruit, Ginger, Fennel, Clary Sage, Cedarwood, Amyris. The second one's notes: Lemon, Violet and Ambergris

Second sounds nice!

Some of us have been testing the new Tallow & Vegan offerings from our friend in the Bay Area. Just wonderful soaps made with love that are hella good! Big Grin

I believe the scent notes on the tallow seen below are Elemi, Orange, Petitgrain, Lavender and Patchouli. Bright and fresh and natural. Just a wonderful scent that many will love. A couple shaves down with the tallow, the last being a full face and head shave with 5 Days growth to mow down on the dome. So we're talking a good 25-30 minutes. What I loved is the lather of course but how it held up over 4 passes as seen below.

The color and consistency has become more like Mike's Natural which is a really good thing. Slickness and post shave are right there with Phoenix & Beau and L&L. Mohammad plans on increasing the slickness and post shave even further. I'm thinking Sudsy Soapery type post.

I haven't even tackled the vegan yet. Watching GroomingDept grow has been a fun trip!

I've been trying to finish a number of soaps off and get down to just ABC, Nuavia, and Panama...but the tallow version is tempting. Can anyone offer a comparison to the elite Italian soaps?

Better. The Italian soaps have the history and names but for the pure shave GroomingDept gives (me) a better shave and post.

I have been testing the new tallow & duck formula and rank it right along some others including Talbot, L&L, Sudsy, Turtleship & P&B. Maybe even higher. It's already a better soap than some already well established artisans.
