Of course. I have been there and felt somewhat similarly (annoyed and angry in my case). I did not mean to sound insensitive.

Not to be nasty..But...some of you folks appear to be REALLY annoyed and angry over the delay or non-availability of.......a tub of shaving soap? It’s that grave of an issue?

That's too much effort for soaps. I do notice he is trying to increase his production and I welcome that.

The GD soaps are really so good it is well worth the effort trying to acquire them. The effort and chase are part of the fun of our shared “hobby”.

If we remember that Mohammad is a one man operation running the Product Development, Ingredient Sourcing, Packaging, Marketing and Mail Room, we should all be a bit more patient and understanding.

This isn’t being directed solely at GD soaps, but I am done, in general, with chasing down the latest and greatest shave products that are produced in limited quantities. If someone wants my money, they can make enough to avoid the surge of initial purchasers. I am done with being drawn into the “limited edition” or “special release” hunt and setting alarms or calendar reminders to get in on the action. This is just my personal take on where I see this “hobby” headed.

Guess I disagree. I don’t see the “hobby” headed there. What I do see is a crop of new, independent, non-corporate artisans who don’t yet have the financing or production or logistical capability to meet demand. That’s not a sin. It’s not a scam. It’s their economic reality. I’m sure most of them would be more than happy to make more and sell more. What businessperson wouldn’t? Plain and simple...they don’t make money when demand for their products exceeds supply. They announce products when they’re ready and sell them until their supply is exhausted. Maybe that’s one minute...one hour or one day..or more. On the other hand...you can buy as much soap as you want from their more well-established competition anytime you want. They’re the ones who lose a sale...and money. Is the product as good? Will it do? That’s for you to judge. Me? I’ll continue to support them for one selfish reason....for my face they make a superior product. Will I rearrange my life to be sure to get them? No way...Why? In the end,..it’s just a tub of soap..And of you miss out on one...there’s always another one coming right around the corner. As usual.......YMMV..

I have to admit - the thrill of the hunt is half the fun for me. I mean, all of the items I chase are items that deserve my time chasing them imo. I really feel that the wr2, declaration and black eagle brushes, and grooming Dept soap are worth chasing. The 4 items I specified are all top in their respective categories and using even just one of the 4, makes my shave better.

Do I feel like an ass for mashing keys for 3 hours trying to get a black eagle from the last drop, or parking my laptop on the wolfman website to stalk it like a mentally ill person, yeah you bet but my shaves are the best they’ve EVER been and I can’t imagine how they could get ANY better.

Is what it is. Same will chase, others will find it demeaning. Both are right.

Oh I don’t. All these items are known to me.
