I'm curious....with all of these bases being so good, specifically pertaining to the post shave department, how much of an enhancement is the post shave serum?

As superiour as grooming dept bases are post shave on their own, the pre and post shave serum are that much better incrementally and and have a synergistic effect when combined from my experience

GD really offers a rather incredible system. The combination of their pre shave, soap and post shave serum is..for my face anyway..unsurpassed. All the components work together..as I imagine he designed them to. Sure, you can just use just the soap..but..the use of the soap with the pre puts the soap on steroids. And the post provides a very moisturizing and skin calming effect. It very much enhances that fabulous GD post shave.

I’ve noticed a considerable difference in the quality of my skin since using GD. I don’t use the post serum but the final production version of the pre shave has been an amazing addition to the use of the soap.

I agree with everything said. The pre-shave makes any soap perform better and the rejuvenating serum definitely heals and moisturizes the skin exceptionally well.

The only time I do not use both pre and post is when trying a new shave soap to evaluate its performance on it's own merits.

The feedback is appreciated.
Thankfully I can relate to the use of the preshave which is really good. It's strange how, when you rub it in your hands before application, it feels like a thick buttery lotion. Sort of like Shea butter. But then as soon as you apply it to your face.....Sliiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiick!!!! Instant transformation.
Well, at least with my experience anyway. Perhaps I'm using it incorrectly. lol.
On things for sure, a little goes a long way.

Anyhow, my Serum is on it's way direct from GD. I only live an hour away from Italian Barber, but it doesn't seem like it's getting there anytime soon. lol

Agree it takes a few times to get the amount and application of the pre shave correct... at least for myself. I use the recommended pea sized amount but choose to rub my hands together briefly before applying to my face. This ensures even application which I struggled with initially. Excellent pre shave product that accomplished the dual feat of aiding in protection as well as slickness.

For the pre-shave, I find that taking the pea sized amount, rubbing between my hands then getting a small amount of water on a hand and rubbing together again before rubbing into my face works the absolute best for me.
