I guess now you don't have to worry about cutting your face, just burning it.

My guess is to give canned gel/cream the sensation of a warm lather whipped up in a scuttle. I’d definitely go the scuttle route over this heated razor.

Yet there are many wet shavers who think that a $100+ safety razor will work better than a used $10 Gillette DE. Wink

Secretary Ramsey put his foot into it yesterday . . . in the course of his remarks he said that California “needs water and better society.”  “So does h-ll,” yelled someone in the crowd.

I've always said my $5 40s super speed does the job just as well as my $185 ATT or $230 Timeless, but there are those that think the shinier more expensive one HAS to be better. Smile

Come on!  I just missed out on the "Tier 1 - Priority Pricing" package on Indiegogo for $109?  Those 200 slots have already been taken.  Maybe I should jump on the "Tier 2 - Early Bird Pricing" package for $124?  JUST KIDDING!

I don't care.  I still enjoy my Blackbird SB!  And, I have a whole pile of vintage Gillettes that still get some face time periodically.  Not to mention the Schick Injectors.  Plus the Gem SE's.  Also the....  I thoroughly enjoy my shaves with all of these razors along with a shaving brush and soap/cream.  I just can't imagine how adding a heating bar to a 5-bladed cartridge is going to make the shave tolerable for me, let alone enjoyable.  I understand that carts still work fine for some folks and that's great, but they were horrible for me for about 35 years.  I'm not going back!

Here's the link to the Indiegogo page in case someone wants to take one for the team: $150+ Gillette Heated Razor - Indiegogo

Check out all of the parts in that bad boy!  Oh, check out the "Designed to complement your ritual" image half way down the page.  That almost got me to pull the trigger!
