Some of you might remember this Kipco shown here. Well...R.I.P. Sad

I wound up getting a larger cabinet for brush and mug storage. During the transfer to their new home she took a tumble resulting in a cracked ferrule that I was unable to repair. I was just sick to stomach with it and set it to the side.

I finally got around to showing it some TLC and wanted to keep a clean look. I went with copper, but instead of the normal, hammered look I've been doing, I gave it a brushed finish which I then coated to prevent patina. Knot wise I realized I had zero badger boar mixes so I went with a 24mm from Dscomestics. Slight delay (not theirs) but it finally arrived. Once the adhesive dries I'll put it through its paces. Definitely enjoying the look.

I concur with Dave... That is a nice fix there. The new ferule looks good with the handle. Impressive work, as always.

Thank you. The pics for some reason don't show the reddish tint like in the original. Messes with my OCD. I just have to accept it lol.

Just finished up this little beauty today. She fought me tooth and nail and if something could go wrong, it did. Everything from equipment failure to flawed copper, it happened, lol. I'm never one to give up so l pushed through and got it done.

The customer stated they were partial to Ford Calypso Green Metallic (my phone makes it look bluish) and wanted something close. I said why not the real thing! I reached out to a buddy and got a couple ounces. I wet sanded between coats to ensure a smooth, glass like finish before adding 2 coats of clear. Handle is topped with a brushed copper ferrule and crowned with a 24mm badger boar mix from AP shave. Pics do not do it justice!

A big thank you to its owner for entrusting me to bring his vision to life. It was a pleasure and I hope you enjoy it!
