Found this Thater at a garage sale

It was in a grooming kit from Neiman Marcus with other things like a suit brush, toothbrush soap holder, etc.  I can't find the thing anywhere online though.  Anybody know anything about it?

It's for sale if anyone can find what it is worth. I'll sell it for 70% of its worth I guess (not sure what a fair offer would be).

I'm sure someone would appreciate a what looks like finest or pure badger but if it was new, it would probably be like $60. If you buy it, wouldn't be something to get close to triple digits over.

I see now. I misread your earlier posts. Well when you get it, give the brush a whirl. Although I am not a fan of pure grade badger, Thater generally has very positive reputation when it comes to quality in build/construction. I had some Plisson badger brushes that were a bit harsh or every scrubby to my face, yet they were built to develop lather very well. I was always impressed by how the texture came out with Plisson's badger knots even though I could not continue to use some of the particular ones that passed through my hands.

You may find something about the Thater brush that you learn and like about it even though you may know there will be some things you know you won't enjoy. Worth trying a few times.
