Man, I need to get me some Tabac Splash.... I'm a HUGE fan of the soap, but have never tried the splash. Does the scent last for a while, or does it fade pretty quick?

Man, I need to get me some Tabac Splash.... I'm a HUGE fan of the soap, but have never tried the splash. Does the scent last for a while, or does it fade pretty quick?

It has medium strength for an aftershave. I have the Tabac Man in the black bottle. 
I also just got their Craftsman AS in the grey bottle. They are similar scents (man/craftsman). Both nice. 
If you want to layer it up. The soap, aftershave and then the cologne are “stackable”. The cologne and aftershave are not all carbon copies. So they compliment each other. At least I think they do.

10 shaves may be the upper limit for me. On these Feather blades. Which tracks with most of what I have read on the net. In other news. Got my knots for the Brass Edition handles. 
I’m also starting to try my hand at long fermentation sour dough bread. Making up my starter dough.

C-Mon Hand Forged Razor

4711 AS (Last use) Like it...but not gonna re-stock it. 

Lots to talk about. First off. This razor is superlative.  Checks all the boxes for me. Grind, tang shape, excellent steel, pretty scales.  Just can't ask for more. While using it. Got to thinking to myself. "Life is too short, not to use only your most favorite razors."  Now I am going to have to ruminate on that thought. Mull it over in my Cro-Magnon brain (the one that tells me to keep collecting more shave stuff) Then maybe start my "keep" list. And make another list/pile that shall go un named. Because strange as it may sound. I can't off the top of my head. Think of what something like that would be called. 
Second item up for discussion. Is that I set the knots in my Fluffy Industries Brass Edition handles. May wait more than 24 hours for them to set up. So a debut on them will be forthcoming. 
And last but not least. A top secret project has been started by Fluffy Industries.  This time we are tackling another aspect of this great past time of ours. After conquering the conundrum of how to make the perfect brush handle. Fluffy Industries is now turning it's attention to the Feng Shui deficit in most shave dens. 
Just like with shave soap. The proper balance of water and soap is needed for a good shave. The proper balance of a sharp and smooth edge also needed for a good shave. If your shave den is not balanced de'cor wise. Then a good shave cannot be attained. 
As this kind of stuff is not really in my wheel house. My original vision has been brought to life. By one of Fluffy Industries sub-divisions. His talents for this project are unrivaled. And I am very confident that he knocked this one out of the park. As this item is still in the prototype phase however. I will not be able to reveal it until beta testing is complete. In the next week or so I will be getting feedback from my first victim/tester. And will make any tweeks needed, if any. I have sworn these beta testers to secrecy.  Any compromise of this clandestine operation. Will result in me filling up Daddy's girl with manure and delivering it to the guilty parties front door.

Sweet Dave. Glad and honored that my brush inspired such a nice homage.

I once hit a spot like Point One in 2018. I had, for me, a large collection of DE razors. But only a few were used, and only one that was my perfect combo smooth, comfortable, and very efficient. So I pared down quite a bit, selling and gifting the collection.

Now it's back up, but only because I've added 3 other blade types.

Bottom line is what you said, life is too short. Sure I can shave again tomorrow, but why should today be less, if I can do something about it? Yes, it's fun to collect and experiment. I think Dave does something similar, when he tries a new razor and comments that, due to the shave, the razor may not be a keeper.

Busy day today. 
Work had a bit more than the usual "Big Guy" stuff.  On top of driving a big rig, towing a tree chipper out to the job. Once there after witnessing my co-worker Art attempt to run a chainsaw. To cut up the two trees that had fallen. The curmudgeon in me just could not tolerate the stupidity. I relieved him of the saw to prevent him from further embarrassing
himself. And bringing dishonor to his family name.  Trees need to be cut up in a way that allows them to be handled and fed into the chipper. Without jamming it up or causing extra work. Also knowing which direction to cut from, above or below the branch. So as not to get the bar pinched, or wind up hitting the dirt.  Plus the fact the damn trees were 100% engulfed in poison sumac (that's what killed them). I have no patience for dumbass's that make more work than necessary.  Once home, I took a long shower and scrubbed down real good to get any sumac off myself. And washed my clothes separate from my wife's. As she is allergic to that stuff. 
The shave for this Friday was nice. Used another cracker of a razor. My F.W. Engals Leader.  This thing "sings" while stropping and shaving. It even gives a little "ping" sound when I wipe off the soap onto my sponge. 

Then while I was out and about getting our take out dinner. My wife text's me a picture of two wasps that she discovered in our back bedroom upstairs.  So upon my return to Casa Fluffy. I had to deal out some death to the winged intruders.  That job done it was time to dig into my Enchilada's Mexicana's dinner.  
Big rigs, tree grinding, chainsaws, straight razors and killing insects. There is a larger and denser than normal testosterone fog round these parts.  Saw a few of the female neighbors swooning when the breeze put them downwind of me. Here comes the weekend. Bring it on world.
