Will be using this 1996 every other shave for a while. Curious to see it’s edge retention.
Good day today until I started to do my lawn mowing. The damn Cicadas are being jackwagons. Plus my trusty very old Stihl trimmer is dying on me once it gets hot. Suspecting it’s a coil issue.  But could be crankcase seals. Not sure if I want to keep messing with it. It really does goes against my instinct to give up on equipment.
We’ll see what happens.

Good call on the coil !

We shall see DaveinKY $34 for a coil off the bay.
If that doesn’t do it then I may reluctantly replace the ‘ol gal.

Good shave but the day sucked. The air circulation motor in my central air conditioning unit gave up the ghost. And I might not be able to get it swapped out until Friday. On a plus note one of my friends was able to loan me a window AC unit so I can continue to sleep in my bedroom. Instead of in the basement like an old hound dog on the concrete floor.
Also on the plus side. Was able to get a new motor and capacitor for 5% over cost. Through a contact. And also getting a friend to help re-engineer it to take the non-ramping motor. Cause the oem type of motor. Costs $ 1000 and this one costs $50. So yea we are gonna go that route…duh!
Hope you guys had a better Wednesday than me.

Wow, your day did suck. Sounds like you have a solid recovery plan though.

Yea Tim. Embrace the suck. Adapt and overcome.  Just wish my wife was able to cope with this kind of stuff better. Lover her but this kind of situation gets her all out of sorts.
You have to play with the hand your dealt. No amount of whining, bitchin and wishing get's things solved.

I learned that phrase from a pharmacist I worked with who was in the Guard and was called up to spend a year in Afghanistan. I agree with what you said. I would add, Pray, and than start working on the solution.

Sorry that happened Ken.  I read your post and thought immediately of your Marine background.  Well done!

Thanks for the kind words Mike. But I have to correct you. I was in the Army. Not Marines. Same mindset, different branch.
