You are correct Eric. The scales=handle. They (ones I made)are serviceable. But far from perfect. It can be daunting starting out with straights. But if I can do it. Most anyone can.
If. You ever want to give straights a try. Let me know. And I’ll help you give them a go.

The scales may be far from perfect, but they sure do photograph well.

Ken those scales do look nice! They may not be perfect, but they do photograph well.

He has resurfaced and seems to be doing well. He doesn’t have Dungeon 2.0 online yet, but I’m sure it’s just a matter of time.

Double Arrow 66 Razor
LNHC Haute Leather Soap
SV Badger Brush
Nivea Vanilla and Bourbon AS.

Nice shave with a vintage Chi-Comm razor. The Double Arrow is a nicely done extra hollow grind.
The brush, soap and AS all combined with it to give easy zero irritation smooth shave. Ready to close out my work week.

I saw this post earlier on my phone. no problem. Then at work today, I happend to be the SOTD thread on a work computer with a bigger monitor.  Let's just say I was startled to see those eyes staring back at me. I don't think I could shave with that lid gazing at me the whole time!!  Big Grin

That is not her latest cover art, but I remember it drew comments around the 2018 timeframe too.  However, the soap from 2018 is a great performer, my favorite scent being Somali Rose.  FWIW, she has newer labels and a newer base now.

In my defense, let's just say that I am not attired as if filming a video. I must not be comfortable with my body being looked at so, shall we say, frankly!! Blush
