What's your favorite?

My favorite its still the R1. I just loveeeeeee this razor so much, its amazing. Very near second place is the R2 (99.% the same as the R1, just a different feeling during the shave due to the open comb)

Atlas S1 is my daily driver. I have a Merkur 34C that stays in my Dopp kit for travel. Those are the only razors I own. Love my ATT.

Interesting. I thought you were more hung on the S2 last I remember you saying, or at least it sounded that way to me.

Wow, much support! Big Grin

hrfdez I shall and yes, yes he does make a great razor Smile

Thalasos Probably be the same for me, always need to 'get to know' a new razor Wink

herbert7890 I can't say I can agree with you on that, at least not yet anyway Wink Still really want a Wolfman and a Black Mamba, but I barely justified and afforded the ATT so those razors will have to wait for a while lol

Hobbyist Yup, defiantly a razor I would recommend Big Grin

Owba I might have to look into trading around the parts and such then, we shall see.

beamon Thanks and I will Big Grin I only shave every two days so it'll take me a few more days before I get through all three plates and test with other blades as well Smile

Edit: Yes I like using emotes Big Grin lol

I do love the S2 and S1 a lot!!!!! The only reason they are not my tops (like R1 and R2) its that they are way more Blade dependent that those 2. THe R1 and R2 perform amazing with any blade, while you have to test and test blades to get a good performing (non irritating) blade with the S2 (Astra SP works the best for me), S1 is a little easier on blades but not as much as the R1 and R2. The M1 and M2 are probably too mild for my taste but I will keep them anyways, but I dont use them much.

Shaven in the Past
1) Good attitude. 2) If that's the worst thing to happen - you'll be ok. 3) I'm still pondering an ATT slant. 4) Unfortunately if I do it will upset the equilibrium of my rotation. 5) See #2. 6) Enjoy the new equipment.

1) I always try to keep one 2) Agreed Smile 3) Same, but I love my iKon Slant, and don't want to have it usurped :/ 4) Same 5) See #2 6) Thanks Smile 7) Couldn't resist it lol

So, just shaved again with it, but this time I used the open combed M2 and, my face is hot sadly :/  Two nicks and a few weepers and my alum stung in places it normally doesn't Sad  I used the same Astra blade now on its second turn.  Could be a couple of issues; I don't think it's the plate, I shaved when I got home from work and I wear a collared shirt that irritates my throat since it rubs.  I normally wait until much later in the night to shave or the next morning when that fresh irritation has gone down, but we're going out tonight and I didn't have time for that.  Second, it could be the blade, it felt... tuggy, not as smooth as it did in the M1, so maybe the Astra won't work for me in the M2, but I have other blades I want to test anyway so time will tell.

Makes me a bit nervous though to try the R1 now, if the lowest aggressive plate with an open comb did that to my face, what will the more aggressive close comb do?  Like I said, my skin doesn't do well with aggressive razors, which is why my Ikon Slant doesn't see much love as I'd like it to.  I'll need to makes sure I shave in the morning when my skin is the best condition possible, showered and I'll try the Dreadnought pre-shave oil on it again, something I failed to do tonight, which is also a likely cause of my problems.

Also, to the person is the past who decided high collared shirts with a button that can choke a horse was a fashionable thing with men, please die again ^.^ <3 lol
