Hey All

My grandson, who is just 15 suffers from a caterpillar sprouting on his upper lip.

I figured I would put together a dopp kit for him to help him get a start on his lifetime of grooming.

I got a fine bag from KOTR through the DFS group and have included a Maggard razor with the idea that he can swap heads and handles to find just what is right fo him.

The brush is an Omega Pro 49, great brush but not much snob appeal to teach him to seek the rest on his own.

Soap was a no brainer, Grandma makes the shaving soap so that is covered.

Tell me Gentleman, what else should be included in his first kit ?

I would say a sample pack of some DE blades and a bottle of Nivea Sensitive aftershave balm. Oh, and a styptic pencil, haha. Big Grin He's gonna need one of those!

Teach your grandson to brush his teeth twice a day and floss them once a day.

Include an appropriate toothbrush and holder for travel.

Personally, I like to have my alum block with me when I travel. It came in a little plastic case so it's very convenient for travel.

BTW, what kind of soap does Grandma make?

It sounds as if you have a very nice starter kit going for the young man.  Definitely throw in a small alum block and I think you have it covered.  If he needs them then a few lessons from grandpa might not go amiss. Winking

The only thing that hasn't been listed would be a bar of glycerin soap for a preshave. The added slickness helps when you're just starting.

Also included a block, both for the face and the pits...

I have included a block, for both his face and it also works as a deodorant. Shave Nation has it in an underarm type of dispenser .

The wife will be making some peppermint shaving soap in the morning. Great lather and easy on the face.

You near Indy ? PM me, we will get you a bit to try...
