Fine Accoutrement soaps

I'll be the contrarian. I think they work just Fine, but I wasn't overly impressed. I've got Fine American blend and Razorock American Barber. I've only used the American Blend once so far, but I'd be hard pressed to tell you the difference between the performance of the two. I think I actually like the scent on the American Barber a little better. Admittedly, I need to give it a few more shaves. Is it worth trying? Yes. Is it magical? No. I still prefer Stirling, or even PdP when it comes to perfomance.

I recommend giving the Fine another shot, especially if you have only tried once. (The shave I had last night was miles ahead of any RR shave I've had.)

I have several of their soaps but I haven't used one yet.

I purchased Fine American Blend after I read that the soap is based on the Tabac formula, just with a different scent.

Fine performed the same as Tabac with scents I really enjoy. I normally only use Tabac in the Fall. This allows me to use it all year round. So far I have American Blend, Sandalwood, and Platinum.

Fine Accoutrements soaps and aftershaves are among the best I've tried. I say among the best, because there are a lot of great soaps and aftershaves out there. However, in addition to their great performance, are their amazing scents. I have tried A LOT of products and I have to say that Fine does a great job on their fragrances. Not too strong, not too subtle...they have the right amount of "staying power". Their aftershaves border on the longevity of a cologne. Their soaps provide a slick, smooth shave with little effort. And as far as price...they are right on point.So to those that have though about giving them a try, I say definitely go for it!

I plan to use it some more, probably give it a full week or so. I've only used one other Razorock soap, The Freedberg. I wasn't impressed with the performance on that one. I was surprised to see the American Barber has a bit of lanolin in it.

I had to wait for the second run of American blend but I love it. It tends to get used more then some of my other soaps much like tabac, cella, la Toja, and prorasso.
I like artisan soaps but find my self picking facotry produced soaps more often.

What's wrong with lanolin?
Are you talking about fine soap or the razor rock one? I never got to try the razor rock one but the fine soap is great

Yes. I have American Blend and Santal [a kind of sandalwood]. I like them very much - very good to excellent soap depending on how I feel. For $12.50 per puck it is a great buy.
