Maybe it was just beginner's luck, but I had a FANTASTIC first shave with the Italian Citrus soap last night. Great comfortable shave and Post shave was also very very good. No dryness or tightness. No nicks. Pretty much perfect.

Anyone else try these soaps yet?

I'll be shaving with it again soon to verify my initial perspective.

Oh yeah, and the scent was the best attempted clone of AdP Colonia I've tried so far. Better than the Asylum/Saponificio Varesino and the CRSW Oliva Colonia Mediterranea, no question.
The Fine Italian Citrus scent has a depth that is missing in the other two mentioned.

I'll respond to the fair question. Yes, I have the Fine American Blend and I enjoy both its scent and performance. I get a terrific lather that is indeed "slick and protective", just like the box claims. I grated the puck and pressed it into an aftermarket tub. I also like the packaging, however, I don't hold onto boxes from soaps. If I were buying new products this year, I would definitely be interested in trying some different Fine soaps. Also, it's "fine" to ask any questions on this forum. (Did you notice the play on words?) Wink

I agree Nero. I have the Green Vetiver and it provides outstanding lather with ease. Fine's scents are awesome and at only $12.50 a puck, it's also a great value. I expect this thing to last a very long time.

I'll be the contrarian. I think they work just Fine, but I wasn't overly impressed. I've got Fine American blend and Razorock American Barber. I've only used the American Blend once so far, but I'd be hard pressed to tell you the difference between the performance of the two. I think I actually like the scent on the American Barber a little better. Admittedly, I need to give it a few more shaves. Is it worth trying? Yes. Is it magical? No. I still prefer Stirling, or even PdP when it comes to perfomance.

I only use once, and it was from a sample. It was a good shave, good performance and all but when it comes to factory soap, to me, Tabac is still the champion. But Fine soap is actually pretty good, and there are actually quite a number of selection!

I haven't used any soaps from Fine, but the green vetiver is probably my favorite scent that they offer.

I did not, didn't really think of it. But I'm used to seeing 3 CRSW and 3 MW threads active at the same time (elsewhere). Wink
