DeRuitem Shaving custom handle.

Matt is awesome to work with. Polished finish is top quality. Seriously deep shine and glass like.

Just have to decide what knot to put in it.

Boar or badger?

My Turtle Ship Shaving order arrived.
Also picked up some soap and got a couple samples not shown. Really nice looking stuff that's impressive in person. Brush is large for a 24mm and the stands are very nice. Lots of attention to detail with everything. Haven't tried anything here yet. Soaps smell amazing!

Based purely on looks, I would have to say that the boar knot looks like a great fit for that beautiful handle.
Be sure to share some impressions of the Turtleship Shave Co. software at some point. A lot of their products look like movie props — meaning, very cool.  Cool

I'd go badger but with a higher loft knot - the length of the handle needs a loftier knot to balance it in a pleasing proportion.

Yeah.

The knot I have is too small and needs to be too low for this handle.

I love how the boar looks in it! It's an Omega Pro knot. It just barely fits in the cup but it's like it's a match made in heaven.

I don't have another badger knot. To really look right like you're saying, and I agree 100% now that I have it in hand, I will have to get a 28mm or 30mm fan and widen the opening.

I am going to have to sleep on it!

Yeah, between those two knots the boar looks best because of its loft and its luscious golden hue. I think I have a bias towards badger knots in nice, custom handles. I like boars and have several (knots) but I always see them in their standard handles, you know, the Semogues and the Omegas, good serviceable handles but nothing special. I think I need to open my mind to the idea of nice handles with boar knots.

A Shavemac 2-Band Bulb, either D-01 or Silvertip would look just lovely in that handle. Shy
