Gifts & Care also offers these blades. They’re 44 euros + shipping for 100 blades when shipped outside of Europe, there are no disclaimers that would indicate a restriction of their sale, and Gifts & Care offers a 10% discount to DFS users. If I had a need for these blades, I would look at that option.

I also agree that Feather/Jatai are not doing themselves any favors by allowing such a restrictive market situation to exist in Northern America.

I think I've gotten over any desire to own a OneBlade. The combination of the OnBlade company and Feather allowing the monopoly have turned me off.

There are so many options out there right now and there are a few new options coming so I don't see the need for this anymore.

Indeed. For any Gem blade fans who have been using the OneBlade: Above the Tie, Barbaros, and Charcoal Goods are all working on Gem blade razors, and at least Above the Tie should be nearing its completion.

Also, Blackland just announced on a thread here today that they should be releasing a new razor in the next few weeks, but I don’t know the type of that razor.

Now, if someone really likes the Feather “FHS” blades (and many do), well, that’s a different story…

Love the blade myself. Never ever like Feather DE blades but these are nice for me. Only 2 shaves out of them, but 2 BBS ones. Work very nicely on an old piece of junk Valet as well.

I'm with you. My OneBlade sits on the shelf collecting dust. I don't get involved in the discussions and have completely moved on.

I hear you! I wanted to like the OneBlade so bad because it is an absolutely beautiful razor. The customer service and quality control was some of the worst I've ever dealt with. such a shame since it's a luxury razor.

oh well!!!

When I had a OneBlade to try out for a while, I tried both the Feather blade and the Gem blade in it. I, too, did like the Feather quite a bit, and got up to four good shaves with a single blade.

And the Valet is a good point — the OneBlade isn’t the only razor to utilize the “FHS” blade type. If the blade type were more widely available in North America, perhaps more new razor designs using that blade type would crop up.

You are referring to the Philips OneBlade? I was not aware they had a subscription service. Can't you just buy the blades/cutting heads wherever the OneBlade razor is sold? The replacement blades are sold on Amazon, too.

It disappoints me to see that Feather would support this blade monopoly. Feather is now on my blacklist.
Oh, now that's messed up. I'm with you, no more Feathers for me too.

I bought a bunch of Feather FHS-10 blades on Amazon a few months ago for my Valet Auto Strop. Are they not available there anymore?

No it's a different razor called the OneBlade that uses de-spined single edge blades:

https://www.onebladeshave.com/

They have a subscription service and recently maneuvered to become the only authorized retailers of the Feather FHS-10 blade in the US and Canada I believe.
