I keep hearing about guys hand stropping a feather blade, I suppose to make it smoother.

Started corking all of my new blades a while ago. Honestly, I’m not sure it makes a difference. To me, Feathers are still better after I’ve used them for a shave or two, whether they have been corked or not.

Whenever I go to shave, I assume there’s someone else on the planet shaving, so I say “I’m gonna go shave, too.”

Feather blades still rank in my top one or two favourite blades.  I'm trying the Tiger Platinum this week and while they're OK, they're not Feather.  The main difference I find between Feather and most other blades is when I'm doing either the ATG or XTG passes, many blades scrape over the stubble clearly and audibly engaging it but then just leave it all standing.  The Feather engages and removes the whiskers with no need to go over again.  With the Tiger Platinum I can go over the same spot (re-lathering) and the whiskers just laugh and remain standing.  I think I hear them saying something like "ha, you call yourself a Tiger but where are your claws" or something like that.  Its pretty weird to have your whiskers say thing like that.
