I also love the scent of Henri et Victoria Cognac and Cuban Cigars, but I found the performance to be lacking a bit. Post shave was quite drying as well. Otherwise I would pick up a tub or two. Hopefully it works well for you though!

Interesting Jeff, I usually only use it once a week so might not be the best judge on it's post shave effect long term. I'll admit I'm so enamoured with the scent I might not be judging performance too harshly. That said I've never had any trouble getting a decent lather from it. However I did limit myself to 2 tubs as it wouldn't surprise me if a new formula might improve performance if this artisan sticks around.

I also got the shower gel and aftershave lotion (couldn't get the splash due to shipping restrictions). Both come in pump bottles with waterproof labels. The pump is so handy I use the aftershave lotion often and find it pretty good. The shower gel is so thick, however, that I keep adding water to dilute it and make it more runny so the bottle is still full. Both accurately capture the scent of the soap and may be worth checking out.

Wait, there's a splash?? I'll have to check that out. I've been searching for a good tobacco scented splash that I like. I love PAA's Cavendish scent, but the splash is overpriced and has alum in it, which I don't really enjoy.

I absolutely love tobacco scents. I've only been able to try the following, but each of them is fantastic in their own way.

1) Catie's Bubbles Connecticut Shade (I cannot believe this hasn't been mentioned yet)
2) Henri et Victoria Cognac and Cuban Cigars (I find the above soap to be very similar to this, but with a much stronger scent)
3) Mickey Lee Grand Havana
4) WSP Blackbeard
5) Phoenix & Beau Spitfire (Not a true tobacco scent, but a nice scent based around tobacco notes)

I've heard really good things about RR Puros, Soap Commander Influence, and Black Ship Grooming Captain's Pipe, but haven't had a chance to try them myself yet.

I don't know if it's been mentioned in this thread yet but Crowne and Crane Tobacco Leaf and Amber is really good. They also have one called Cognac and Cubans that I found to smell very similar to Soapy Bathman Cigar Lounge.

Ohh, just ordered Cattie's Connecticut Shade. I love strong scents. Will report back.

I found Connecticut Shade to be similar to C&C Tobacco Leaf and Amber...but much stronger. If you like strong scents, i don't think you'll be disappointed beardybrewer .

Also, I don't know if it has been mentioned in this thread but Mystic Water Sweet Briar (Pipe Tobacco) is a fantastic tobacco scent. IMO, this one has a true pipe tobacco scent.

I haven't tried Mystic Waters for many years. Has their performance improved?
