Favorite Soaps under $15

Oasisdave, the Latha Original is one of my favorite scents and is definitely one of my top performing soaps as well. Too bad it's been discontinued though. I guess it was another one of those "polarizing" B&M scents. You might be able to find one still in stock somewhere.

I think you can find Latha Original on Amazon. Price is a little higher than the other Latha scents...but still under $15

It's good stuff and the scents are more linear than his others, so I think they are a bit more accessible. The Taiga is straight up pine tree and smells really natural.

I have Latha Original and love it as well. Where Latha is a little off the mark in comparison to the more expensive B&M's is in post-shave feel. But it makes up for it in terms of ease of lathering. With the price, that makes it a perfect first soap for newbs IMHO.

I was expecting something of that sort when I tried the first Latha soap (Oceana). At that point I have already finished 1.5 tub of Seville white label. But to my surprise I found that I get better post shave from Latha compared to white label B&M. I have since tried Glissant (first snow, passiflora) and I still find that Latha line (Oceana, Limon) gives me better post shave feeling. And I have no idea why.

This would be one of the shaving mystery I would love to figure out.

Viking shave soap?

All of my go-to's have already been mentioned, but a really cheap one that has decent performance is Derby Shaving Soap in Bowl. I think I got it delivered from the UK for $5.50USD and you get 140 gram cardboard tub of Turkish shaving soap. Lathers easily and provides a nice slick, voluminous lather. Granted, the scent is very synthetic and it doesn't have anything in it for your post-shave, but it will get the job done pretty well at just over a dollar per ounce!
