I believe you'll find the Trotter works best of all three. If it's the same design as mine, the handle has a slight curve out to where it terminates at the bristles. In my demented mind, I think this allows better splaying without spring-back.

This one has to be my favorite. The handle is so ergonomic for my hand, the colors and design of the wood is amazing, the weight is light thus easily maneuvered, and it is made by one of our own here Stubble Daddy . I can't speak highly enough about the work he did on this piece.

Lol. It's a beautiful brush, isn't it. Mine has 2 quarters, or 3.5mm below the knot. I feel like it increases the ease of splaying (which both the handle and brush were designed for). The end result: This brush is a face lathering dream.
Edit: After looking closely, it appears just the top one (in between the APs) has that convex top. It also has a great face lathering brush head.
