Thank you for all the input guys.

With that being said - it won't be an every day razor. I already have a nice little rotation going. Most of them are mild though.

So after looking into the Symmetry - I'm taking this one into consideration as well. Does anyone have experience with both the Fatip and Symmetry? Which one is more aggressive? Which do you prefer?

I'm not basing the decision on which is more aggressive, but I'm just wondering.

The Symmetry has really caught my eye. Damn, I hate making tough decisions lol.

Symmetry looks like brass handle but head is zinc, it also looks like similar head like the razorock jaws and Magyars open comb head, should be medium aggressive razor. It also cost 30+ after shipping.

If u want to go as cheap as possible and try aggressive razor then get the maggard v3a head, it's awesome a small notch below the grande in agressivnes and cost 11 bucks shipped.

If money is no issue then hands down brass razor is the way to go, if u want aggressive then fatip grande, if u want medium aggressive then fatip gentile. I have both and they are great shavers, left u pic earlier of both one in gold and other in gun metal black. Ur money ur choice

I have three Gillette open combs. I find the shaves vary with each razor. The pre 1920 razor is aggressive not as smooth as the the long comb new, the mildest being a tech style open comb.

I also have a FaTip Piccolo, the aggressiveness is greater than my vintage Gillettes. It is not as smooth as my long comb now. Personally I find no issues with the quality. Blade alignment is a small issue .

I don't like the hollow Grande handles. They feel cheap to me. I believe the Piccolo handle is solid, but it's too small for my taste. YMMV, of course.

I actually have the V3a head. I used it for the first time and I like it a lot. As far as aggressiveness goes it's no where near as mean as my old type.

Agreed. I don't find the V3A head very aggressive at all. The Fatip is a great shaver, but to me, the R13 is a bit smoother. A guy can pick up just the head at Maggards pretty cheap.

I have both and shave with both. I have all three of the following In order of the most Aggressive

Ikon Shavecraft tech
Symmetry
Fattip Piccolo or grande

The symmetry is very close to the tech, it's a very aggressive razor. For the money, the quality is also MUCH better than the fattip products. The handle on the Ikkon and head are of better quality than any of the aforementioned, which, considering the prices of all three, is to be expected.

I guess I should also mention that I have the symmetry coming my way Smile

My Fatip Grande has become one of my favorite razors. While I'm not crazy about the looks of a hollow handle, it really is the perfect size, shape, and weight to properly balance that razor (I'm a head shaver, so balance is most important for me).

It's really a steal at around $20 - $30 for an all brass razor.
