in all seriousness, I'll feel my lower neck (the only area I shave) a few hours after a shave to see if I'm getting any irritation or not. I can usually tell by feel alone if I'm going to get any bumps in the coming hours or days.

The OP might want to list the blade he uses to give more detail?  I use a feather in my as-d2 and get efficient uncomplicated shaves.  I'm new to wet shaving too so for me too, it's still kind of  "neato" learning terms like Bbs.  

Btw, I havent started a digital stopwatch after a shave like Beamon to see how many hours and minutes of bbs or bbbs... or b.s. as some have suggested here, lol.

I actually don't like BBS shaves that means I really can't shave the next day how depressing is that. Sometimes I'll go through all the motions and then shave without a blade in the razor how Disturbed is that
