FŌM SHAVING SŌP - No.1: Bay Rum/Vanilla! We bet most of you have never tried a craft beer-based vegan shaving soap (right?) Well it's time to have a beer with us... and here's why. I have been shaving exclusively with number 3 soap Lavender/Mint for 2 weeks now. Excellent soap!

How strong is the fragrance?
How hard / durable is the soap (yield)?

Few years ago I've tried some samples of Beer Soap Brewing Company.
I preferred the tallowed ones, but vegan was nice too.
The weak point was the fragrance, light despite pleasant.
They was way simpler as formulation.
But with beer (water-like) as first ingredient too.
Wich normally makes an easy-to-lather soap, with poor yield.

More in line with new generation soap making technique.

Ischiapp, I find that some of the characteristics of the soap, scent strength and how hard the soap is and colour , very similar to Mike ´s Natural soaps. It’s not a croap and I believe the puck will last for a while. Very easy to lather.Only essential oils used for fragrance therefore the scent stays for a while. BTW since I started to use only attars (essential oils as  perfume) I realized how incredible are essential oils. My Mysore sandalwood attar can easily last on the skin for 10 hours or more, especially wintertime. Back to the soap: when I try the other two scents I will be able to comment. I like a lot the Lavender/Mint soap.

Thanks for your interest.  I can tell you that after almost 3 months of testing, I believe we have a winner with this soap and in addition to Vasil's experience, we've had others send in their praise of this line.  You are absolutely correct when you mentioned that beer-based soaps generally have poor yield and week scents.  I found exactly that in our initial testing as well... so, to combat both problems, I made sure we upped the Glycerin content to avoid early dissipation and upped the Essential Oils levels to make the scent stronger (and stick around) without being too overpowering.  Certain scents are stronger than others and I've found our Bay Rum/Vanilla to be the strongest scents but the other two are not far behind.  All have very pleasing scents that stay with you the entire shave without overwhelming you.  The higher Glycerin level corrected the issue that was bothering me most.  Early dissipation is a problem and I was amazed at how much of an easy fix it was.  Our soap's staying power and slickness are right up there and the post shave hydration is one of the best you'll ever feel.  Your face will not feel dried out at all.  Hope this helps and if you have any further questions, please reach out anytime!

You mean the primary lubrification.
Normally secondary is made by waxes or clays or similar stuff.
I love silk peptides, they make a nice film on the skin.
On me works better amino acids, that work in deep.
Unfortunatelly I've a bad dermatitis, few soaps are really effective about postshave.
Normally I need some help from aftershave balm or toner.
Any tester with actual sentive skin? Results?

My skin is sensitive and my skin likes this soap. I agree with Ben, the soap is a winner. I love the Patriot razor too. BTW I discovered that the best way to fix eczema and psoriasis is to fix the gut flora and eat healthy.  After this, all issues suddenly disappeared
