I have way too many brushes and a few of my older ones and a couple of new ones just don’t seem to lather well anymore and a few have absorbed the scent of the soaps I use most. In my down time I tried using the ETHOS brush Restore and it really works. Once I cleaned them with the cleaner and followed it up with the conditioner these Badger brushes have a soft feel and are now lathering as good or better than when they were new. My Riva brush as an example, never seemed to give me as good of a lather as many of my other brushes but once I used the Restore it is now up near the top. I am very pleased with this combo product as most of my Badgers are fairly expensive and I want to keep them in the best condition possible. I highly recommend any fellow wet shavers who have BAD this is a great product to pick up.
Although I do not have BAD, I have several high quality Silver Tip Badgers which I absolutely love. I also have finally found a synthetic worthy enough to use when I travel or just to break up the routine. When I used the Ethos Restore/Cleaner & Conditioner they have done wonders revitalizing my brushes. That initial "wet dog" smell from any natural brush is gone without multiple shampoo efforts and like Shavemd noted it clears out any lingering regular soap scents to fully refresh the brush. I also have found it gives an extra "spring" to using the brush as it seems new again which I believe was one of its goals. They are a very useful accessories and hopefully will sustain my brushes longer and also keep them fresher. Another great ETHOS product which complements my limited release Dragonsbeard edition brush as well.
