It’s the Rolls Royce of shaving soap.

Its pretty exquisite stuff. Sometimes I wonder if it's edible. I've never put my nose to pure vanilla bean before and I'm sure the same scent could be achieved chemically, or at least close to it, for far less quid-  but this stuff is off the charts good.

Thank you my friend for the positive feedback and I’m glad you’re enjoying the Vanilla Safi.

I will say there are some aroma chemicals that can be sorta close to the real thing but trust me when I say this Vanilla is not one of them.. it’s awful. Someone would be better off to use chemically made Coumarin crystals as it smells more like Vanilla than the synthetic Vanilla does and even that still smells way too synthetic for my nose. Honestly Vanilla has to be real or I’m not interested at all. Vanilla Infusion, Vanilla Absolute and Vanilla CO2 extract are the 3 good ones and all expensive.

All the best

Frank

it’s ok to enjoy cheap soaps made with cheap ingredients and also enjoy expensive soaps featuring premium ingredients.

Ask a respectful question and get a respectful answer. Post a dig on price without researching won't get much of a response. Just saying.....

That’s a very interesting topic. Aside from actual quality or geographical origins, how would you describe the different nuances between the three?
Also, another question: IIRC, you used some real oud - can't remember exactly what -  in your very first Dragonsbeard blend (the one with Oleo soap base). Has that changed since then?

Grazie Frank!
