So in the photo you’ll see the Vanilla Safi in the new bottle with the new design. I’ve been told and I have to agree I think the new design looks more simplistic and more elegant . As you can see  the font on the Vanilla is brown which I think fits that well but the font on the Greenfresh will be a dark green and Colonia a dark Blue and so on. Basically the depth of the colors will be the same no matter what the color this way there is some unity.

I’m just curious does anyone like the old bottle ( shown in Fresco on the far left ) ? My complaint was they are to
topsy turby in the shower and easily fall. The wider Boston Round stays put. I created a little side by side photo using Photoroom.

So some thoughts anyone.

Oh and I forgot how much I love Greenfresh and can’t wait to get all of the products out and also in my den.

Thanks!

I have the old bottle style. Stability hasn't been a problem, but it also sits next to a few other bottles. Regardless, I like the new bottle design.
I like the old bottle style because we do not have a lot of shelf space in the shower and I'm always in second place compared to what my wife wants in there :-)

I'm sure the new will be great, too1

Frank, thanks for the update on the bowl.  Sorry it did work out for you.  The texture on the bottom of my bowl is different and mirrors the bottom of the Pereira bowl.  I don’t know if that makes a difference.  Regardless, I am definitely interested in what you find—and others may recommend—works best with your soaps and creams.

Have a great day!

The levels of cooling in Ethos in order for me:

1.) Greenfresh - mild and very pleasant

2.) Watermelon Mint - very cool but not ice cold

3.) Peppermint - really cool, but a natural cold

For me it depends on how hot it is out.  At 95 degrees - tomorrow I’m going with Watermelon Mint.  Just the right amount of chill!

Hi Ken

The photo is a photoshop so the tall bottle looks much thinner in comparison but it’s not as big of a difference as it looks as far as the footprint goes.

Thanks

Yeah I’m not gonna lie I’m a bit disappointed in it but it won’t go to waste. I’ll use it for the creams I make and some soft soaps I have from my buddy Sean at McDuffs oh and I can’t forget Proraso Green.

Hi Mike

I’d have to agree with you on the coolness levels of the soaps you mentioned and I’d have to place Lost Souls and King of the North kind of in between Greenfresh and Watermelon Mint as they are two others that have cooling ingredients in them

Thanks for the input!

Frank...I have the tall bottles and look forward to the shorter bottles. I am limited on shelf space in both my tub and shower, and the shorter bottles will work better for me...plus they have a lower center of gravity and are less likely to tip over. Please keep producing the Greenfresh body wash, since it is my all time favorite. I also hope you will bring back the Greenfresh soap bars.

Here is my Ethos F base lathering technique:

- Ethos F base will make lather fiit for a king or queen. But you shouldn’t over-hydrate it. That’s my overarching rule. Once there is a well-aerated lather with lots of visible, little bubbles, it’s over-hydrated and its performance is gone.

- Using a 1/4 teaspoon measuring spoon, scoop about 2/3 spoonful and spread it thinly across the bottom of a shaving bowl with pads of fingers.

- Wet two fingers with warm water and spread a thin layer of water across the top of the soap in the bowl. Just what’s on my fingertips. Shower or wait 5 minutes.

- Wet my synthetic brush and shake so it’s just beyond damp. Paint back and forth strokes in the bowl in all directions until the lather is pasty.

- Dip the very tips of the brush to get just a bit of water, and mix into the paste using the back and forth strokes (I also swirl but try to limit that so I don’t twist the bristles too much). Repeat a few times until the lather is like thick yogurt with a bit of a sheen to its surface.

- Swirl the brush to get as much lather out of the bowl as possible, using my finger to get any remaining from the bowl onto the brush, and paint on face. If it’s still pasty and without sheen, dip brush tips in water and mix that tiny bit of water into the lather on my face.

- Shave, and get lather for the next passes from the brush.

- If the lather is not thick and rich and fit for royalty, use a bit more soap next time.

- If the lather is too thin or over-hydrated, use less water next time (or more soap).

Looks like we will be releasing all the Vanilla Safi products on our website on Wednesday June 26th at 10 am

This will include all the products seen in the collection photo. The Shave Soap will be available in both the 7.5 oz and the 4.5 oz sizes. I will say there are not many 7.5 oz jars left so if you’re interested in one of those you can email me and I will send you a link or just wait for the release.

Thank you all for your support!
