Ok I wanted to share a couple of photos and I’d like to hear some feedback but I’ve pretty much made up my mind and based on most of the people both some friends and some spa owners they like the new design for the Shampoos, Conditioners and Body Wash. So in the photo you’ll see the Vanilla Safi in the new bottle with the new design. I’ve been told and I have to agree I think the new design looks more simplistic and more elegant . As you can see the font on the Vanilla is brown which I think fits that well but the font on the Greenfresh will be a dark green and Colonia a dark Blue and so on. Basically the depth of the colors will be the same no matter what the color this way there is some unity.

I’m just curious does anyone like the old bottle ( shown in Fresco on the far left ) ? My complaint was they are to
topsy turby in the shower and easily fall. The wider Boston Round stays put. I created a little side by side photo using Photoroom.

So some thoughts anyone.

Oh and I forgot how much I love Greenfresh and can’t wait to get all of the products out and also in my den.

Thanks!

I have the old bottle style. Stability hasn't been a problem, but it also sits next to a few other bottles. Regardless, I like the new bottle design.

At first i was not happy with soap performance compared to my top picks, protectiveness was average slickness is average as well, post slickness was nonexistent, but the post shave feel was unrivalled, its the only soap i can use alcoholic aftershave after, so i started  experimenting  with lathering techniques, bowl lathering didnt work out for me, same as the method described on the website, the lathers i was getting were at most passable, but not something i would comfortably shave with. But then i scooped like 20-30 grams out of jar and put it in another container, just in case if i mess up the product it wouldn't affect all of it, and the lathers i started getting were one of the best or maybe even the best i have ever used, protectiveness slickness and post slickness became top notch.
The method i use to load the brush is swirling dump brush on rinsed soap(i rinse it just before loading brush) this way i get best possible lather not aerated with enough moisture loaded right into brush and can start working it onto my face immediately, the results im getting this way i coudnt be more happy, with unrivalled post shave feel this became the best and my only soap i use, i don't even have the urge to check out any other soap anymore.
When product goes out of extra container i just refill it with same 20 grams so water wouldn't affect main jar
Thank you Frank for creating such an amazing product, you've got yourself a customer for life!

Hello Sir

I have to say thank you and I’m glad you are enjoying the product. What soap scent did you get for your first ETHOS shave soap as I’m curious. Also you mentioned that when you first used it you didn’t get protection, slickness and post shave which is the exact opposite of what customers tell me especially the protection and post shave so how were you loading the soap? Also what container do you move the shave soap to? A bowl or a different jar?

Best regards

Frank

Hey Frank!
I got vetiver, it was the only available scent that appealed to me by description as im not a fan of woody or floral scents, im a huge fan of fruity, something like black currant dominant scent would be my ideal choice. out of available scents im looking forward to getting colonia and success atm.
I mentioned that protection and slickness were average at first i would say stirling level which i consider a bare minimum for passable soap, but the post slickness or residual slickness was nonexistent, but thats probably because with bowl lathering(smearing almond sized and trying to create lather that way, i was getting lather overaerated) or the methods described on a website i coundt get water ratio properly, the post shave feel was unrivalled that's why i proceeded experimenting with Ethos further.
I have very sensitive skin and very coarse and heavy growth beard ( I cant use ac type blades more than once it just becomes too dull, and use 2 de blades for one shave if i want to get bbs w/o irritation) any british soap besides tallow MWF were not slick enough, and when the boom of american artisans started it was a saving grace for me.
The lathers im getting today are not the most protective or slickest, they are on a level of my number 3 soap which is more than enough for me, but because of the post shave Ethos provides it became my number one soap, and im so happy with it that im not looking into any other brands anymore, period.
Depending on a mood i can either put some soap into CC copper bowl or into empty 345 soap co jar, i use soap 2 times a day, once in the morning for shave and once before i go to sleep and both times i load enough for 3 pass face+head(i was always a heavy loader and dont really care for how long the product lasts) using more product than an average person would need, for the past 20ish days i used up around 1/3rd of a 7.5oz jar and very happy with the results, even my wife noticed that my skin is in much better condition than it ever was, she says i look at least 10 years younger, and she never ever complemented me before, what more can i ask for?

I said I’d give the new shave bowls a try and I did a shave this morning. I will say I whipped up a good bowl of lather with the Paladin Brush but I had to work longer than with other bowls I’ve had in the past and I think it is the texture on the bottom that doesn’t work as good as it looks. There were actually a couple of little pieces of shave soap stuck in a couple of groves that never got lathered up. The inside circumference of the bowl was indeed a little smaller than I’m used to. I’m thinking this would work better with the Shave Cremes than the soaps and the Peppermint that I had put away for myself for summer this past Christmas has gotten harder since then so I would not recommend this bowl all and all. I’ll probably use it for my shave Crème’s.

It’s time to get a good bowl.

I will say I love Peppermint in the Summer and the Japanese Supreme Essential Oil is my favorite Peppermint.
