Good points and I agree on some of your points but remember in this age of posting photos on not only the SOTD’s but also on Instagram where it seems like in the last year or so everything has to coordinate in the photo, brush, soap label, bowl, background etc. My labels are waterproof so they’re not cheap but but when I see soaps where every single soap made has a completely different image on it. I’d hate to see what their Shutterstock Bill is each month. Lol 

I’ve made the choice to transition away from the globe.

She did and does do a great job with the labels and we are always trying to improve on not only the designs but on the quality of how they fit.

Just skimmed a few posts here. I’d vote keep globe but have the graphic designer fade it out 50%. A solid colour background is a tricky one to pull off; in my experiences (and preferences) you need some kind of texture or gradient back there.

We tried that but the more you fade it the overall color changes. I’m looking at keeping most of my baseline products with simple clean labels and then for some releases add texture or images. 

Below is an example of a label we just did for a release I’m planning on in the Dragonsbeard Collection. This one has a lot of texture as compared to the black Dragonsbeard label. Please overlook my bad photography skills. Looks better in person.  Lol

I serious doubt you will experience any sales decline from the absence of the globe..

No globe. I prefer the clean look. IMHO you could have "no look" with your incredible products...but branding is important in today's marketplace.

I personally am not particular about the look, but I agree with you that branding is important, and that the products are incredible. To me, the stylized dragon coupled with the “DB” is a clear enough logo.

For me also the labeling is much less important than the quality of the soap, but I think I prefer a simple, clean label without the globe. And although a unique label for a limited edition product is OK, for the regular ones I like seeing the same label with the same font/script and design, but perhaps with varying background color.
