I’d like to get some opinions on this. I’m thinking of taking the globe off all our labels as we run out of the ones we have when we reorder new labels.
I’ve been thinking about this a couple of reasons. One is on certain soaps when photographed the true color of the label doesn’t show up well as the globe part looks a different color. Succes is a perfect example of that happening where it turns very grey. The other is the globe can’t easily be moved around from a graphic design standpoint so showing South America when the Collection is about France or Africa etc doesn’t make sense to me.  So I’m very much leaning on just getting rid of it on every label it’s been on when I order new labels moving forward. It will be a gradual transition.

So what’s your opinion I’m curious? Keep the globe on or get rid of it.

Maybe add something to the Plain Jane one to jazz it up, instead of the globe.

As we stated months ago, ditch the globe is our take  Could be something to Keto's suggestion such as subtly & artfully rendered pineapple, grapefruit or other key scent ingredient glyph rendering placed between scent name and "Grooming Essentials".

I’m not sure that will work Dan as there is a lot of copy to begin with on the label. The globe was like a gradient so it didn’t interfere to much on some of the colored labels like the Clean shave soap but was distracting on the Succes. So it may make the label looked cluttered if I add anything else to it.
You know I’m not into every label being a completely different image and with that said I do like throwing in some special edition images in once in a while like the Dragonsbeard label for example and I have some others designed and planned for upcoming releases.

Thank you for your input though.

Honestly...it’s irrelevant. I didn’t even notice the globe until you mentioned it. I mean seriously...when does one even look at the top of a tub? For a second when opening or closing it. And for a few seconds when you get it. Otherwise it’s invisible. I can’t figure out why artisans spend so much time and money on the top label. I could only justify it if they are sold in retail stores where shelf impact is a factor. So...losing it costs you nothing imo..

Less is more. No globe, great soap.

We all agree the Ethos line is amazing. Keep the “globe” Frank as the graphic designer did a great job. Also one day IT WILL be on an apothecary shelf and it’s appearance will matter.
