Hi Jamie

I didn't send a lot to the Razor Company as I'm trying to figure out a few things regarding size package size as I'm considering coming out with a smaller size so I'd be offering 2 sizes. I'll bring that up in another post probably tomorrow.

I can always take orders also if you need anything.

Thank you for the heads up that they were sold out!

Regards

Frank

UPDATE:

Just letting you all know the Sucess Shave soap is back in stock and now in the new jars. Also this is the firmest soap I've made so far as I keep playing with the amount of Mango butter.

Thank you and great shaves!

Just received my Dragonsbeard soap and skin food and decided to do some test lathering. Looking at the dark chocolate color of the soap, I expressed some concern to Frank that badger tips might stain, but he assured me that would not happen. Nevertheless, for these first lathers, I used my synthetic brush. First thing I noticed is this soap is firmer than my others. I used the provided scoop and smeared some on the bottom of my Aesop SS shave bowl. With a rather wet brush...yes, this is not usually my approach with ETHOS, I went to work. Boom....Foam---and a lot of it. I didn't get discouraged, but rather continued to work the lather until it began to come together.

I thought...well that took a lot of water. How much can I actually incorporate? So the next progression of pictures are after clearing the breach and adding about 4-5 drops of water. The lather remains stable the entire time.

This next lather shot is as wet as I ever get any lather. This ran right off of my hand when I turned it over. Suffice it to say, I had reached the breaking point.

Next, I went at the lather with my usual dryish brush, adding a limited amount of water very slowly. Results speak for themselves:

The scent has already received the SWMBOSOA (She, who must be obeyed seal of approval; all rights reserved).
The scent reminds me of Barrister and Mann Lavanille. Very heady and incense-like, but not cloying, like Murphy & McNeil Ouroboros.
Tomorrow, I will give the soap the Primo shave test, but all signs point to a great shave. Well done Frank.

Hey Frank,

I think it's great for you that they sold out... gives you some idea of demand. I let a few folks know that they would be available there, guys who don't use forums much.
I'll wait to comment more on your new post, but I'm liking the sound of it so far.

I have more soaps than I will ever be able to use in my lifetime, but I would love to try the Ethos soaps to compare to the elite soaps in my collectoin. However, I do not have room for a large container. If Frank comes out with a smaller size, I will try one.

Of the three ETHOS soaps in my den, Dragonsbeard is my favorite. There is a definite Nag Champa influence, but what's funny is, my wife likes this scent, but abhors Murphy & McNeil Ouroboros, which is a full-blown Nag Champa.

Hi Primo

The Dragonsbeard scent is 100% natural so although it may have similarities to other scents I can assure you I wasn’t influenced by any existing cologne and the Aroma blend was built off the authentic Agarwood oil and Oud Resin I have in my possession and there’s a whole story behind that.

In fact honestly I’m embarrassed to say I’ve never even heard of Nag Champa! What exactly is it?

Thanks my friend!
