Thank to DanLaw, I've two samples of Ethos:
• Success / Pinapple Noir
• Clean / Unscented
I'd like to add the labels, but I cant' find pics online.
Someone has frontal image of the two labels? Maybe big?

Just received a package from Ethos. Super excited to try these. Especially the First Lather, which is on deck to help out of a few of the minor-league soaps in my den. Now I can love the scent and the shave!

That is a cool photo! I have to learn how to do that. Hope you enjoy  the products.

Thank you!

ETHOS Lavender Suprême~~Simpson T2~~Fatip Lo Storto/Polsilver

Have a great day!

Awesome looking shave. I have a question about the Polsilver blade you used. I have a few of those and can’t recall where they came from. Are those blades vintage Polsilvers or are they still in production? And how do they differ from other Polsilvers? (If you know)

These are the Polsilver blades. The first two were manufactured in Poland. The last two in St. Petersburg.
All are out of production and only available on the aftermarket.
As far as differences, they are subtle. I did a comparison last month and my results were:
4, 3, 1, 2.
Interesting. I have only tried the two on the right and I put the far right far ahead of the other.
It's a YMMV sport.

good lather has no suds

ETHOS Succès~~Simpson PL8~~Dovo 91
[Image: w3CKsbg.jpg]
Day one with the Succès and I wasn't as Succèsful creating that glistening lather I got with yesterday's lavender soap. The soap, itself is softer than the lavender and loading directly from the jar isn't as easy. Tomorrow I will try scooping a bit out and smearing it in my Aesop SS bowl.
Over the years I have tried many different "scented" soaps, but whenever I would see someone shave with a pineapple soap, I would roll my eyes and think to myself, who would ever want to use THAT! Well, the answer is ME! I am floored by the scent of this product. If you are expecting to get a face full of Dole pineapple juice, you will be disappointed. This scent is MUCH more complex---but never crosses the line of "too many exotic scents". I would politely accuse Barrister and Mann of this as well as PAA. This is a well thought-out blend, which caresses the olfactory sense. Very pleasing, indeed. The slickness was almost as good as the lavender, but I am going to blame user error. While I have dialed in the lavender soap, I clearly need to tweak my lathering technique with this one.
Have a great day!

UPDATE:

I just want to bring everyone up to date on the upcoming ETHOS Grooming Essentials website. As some of you already know and for those that don’t I had a pretty big set back as the website was scheduled to go up yesterday. Well that’s not going to happen because of circumstances that happened that I never expected as well as some news I got this morning.

So I took both Saturday and Sunday off from working in the labs or in my warehouse so that I could sit in front of my home computer which is a Mac and finish the remaining copy and how it should be laid out on the website so when I met with my friend who’s putting the website up on Wednesday I’d have everything ready to go live and be able to start taking orders in a much more easier way than the way I’ve been doing it through emails.
So when I sat down in front of my computer to begin on Saturday I had an unexpected surprise when the screen and cursor would not respond. I then tried putting in all new batteries thing my mouse needed them for the cursor to work. Nope didn’t do a thing. Looking up the problems I was having and tried everything suggested that I could which was manually shut it down by unplugging it and restarting it. Nope didn’t work either so after trying multiple times I knew it was probably something more critical and being the weekend I had to wait to bring the computer to a repair shop I’ve used for years.  Well after analyzing the problem i was told I needed a new hard drive and that the parts needed to be ordered based on my model. So I’m looking at Tuesday or Wednesday to get the computer back. Well then I still have to finish all the copy that should have been done this past weekend. With my work schedule I won’t be able to effectively work on it till Friday and over the weekend end. To make matters worse I find out this morning in an email that the friend of mine who’s putting the website up is taking a weeklong vacation so another delay as he won’t be able to meet up to get it up until after he gets back and has the time as he mentioned he’ll be busy for the first 3 days he’s back at his normal job so I’m going to be realistic here and say it’s probably going to be about 2 more weeks until it’s up! Am I disappointed? Obviously yes. The only positives out of this is I get to make a bunch of new products and mostly new shaving soaps by getting the batches started. I have plans to release between 4 or 5 within the next 6 weeks with some being ready in 4 weeks. Other than the Dragonsbeard I’d rather keep the others as a surprise release but will announce then a few days before. There will be 2 more staples added and a total of 3 limited edition or seasonal shave soaps. I’m also running out of the Lavender Supreme as I’ve had a strong run on them the last 2 weeks so I’m down to only 9 jars left so I have to squeeze in the 3rd batch of it I’ve made since launching ETHOS.

Also am releasing this week a new smoothing Creme named Lissage into the custom collection as my first hair and beard product that’s for anyone with course, dry, brittle or frizzy hair in either area or if your just looking for something to control your hair or beard without any greasy feeling.  It comes in a 4 oz frosted glass bottle with a serum pump. It’s an natural product and it can be custom scented using essential oils or oil blend. Email me for pricing.

As you also may know all the new shave soaps will be in my new jars and I just completed another batch of the Clean Unscented Shave soap and I have about 7 of the old jars of it left so if anyone wants to take advantage of the 7 I have left at the current lower price I’ll ship then anywhere in the US for a flat shipping fee of $3.50 as I’d like to make room for the new Clean jars on my rack.

I thought it was important to post up an update on everything that is going on at ETHOS.

Once again thank you all for your support.

Frank
