ETHOS Blood Orange shave cream

For those of you who have tried this, how long does a standard size container of the shave cream last in comparison to the same size container of ETHOS shave soap?

Disclaimer: Not one that measures portions and such, just not into shaving as a hobby nor vocation.  Prefer a thicker, more cushioned lather with maximized post shave impacts over glide/slickness due to skin damage and sensitivities. Exclusively bowl lather using a badger knot

Had I to estimate consumption/shave, use about 50% more ETHOS cream than ETHOS soaps be they hard or soft and within ETHOS soaps maybe 20% more original or soft soap than the new firm base

Ramsay: my spreadsheet predicts I'll get about 66 shaves from a jar of Blood Orange. Currently I'm using about 1.9 g per shave. But the same size jar of Ethos F-base soap will likely give me about 140 to 150 shaves. On average, I'm using about 0.9 g per shave. So, like Dan said, I use about twice as much Ethos cream as I do Ethos hard/soft soap.

Although no one has finished a jar of the Tallow Shave Creme it’s been my experience in the last 20 plus years of wet shaving that an oz of shave soap will last longer than a shave cream. An the softer the shave soap is I’d say the closer to the shave cream it will be. So a very hard soap would probably get double the number of shaves as a shave cream whereas a super soft shave soap may be very close to the shave cream as far as the number of shaves that a person would get out of a jar. In fact a friend of mine counted the number of shaves he got out of a 4 oz fairly soft shave soap and it was 70 shaves.

"Pleased" is too mild a word. I really love this blood orange scent. And I don't even like most orange smelling stuff. Ethos Blood Orange is natural and it's pretty strong without ever becoming cloying. 

But it's citrus, so don't expect it to last too long. Orange is a wee itty bitty molecule. It evaporates fast. I enjoy the fragrance right through my shave, but after the last rinse, I don't pick up much orange, and it doesn't linger in the towels I use to dry my face. 

The performance is stellar. One of the very best among my hoard of shaving soaps. The lather's not thick and goopy, but it still gives great protection. And what's really superb is the skin care. I turn to Ethos when I want to mend my irritated skin.

First let me say I havent tried the blood orange from Ethos and I want to but its sold out everywhere but on the website and I would like to wait until I can order enough for free shipping or it comes back in stock at TRC. I currently only have vanilla safi and its probably my favorite soap base, so im looking forward to getting a couple F base pucks when something I want is available.

That being said if your looking for an orange that lasts try B&M Nordust. Its good for an hour or 2 and in my book thats pretty good for orange.

More sweet than tart.

They last a "good while" but it would depend of course if you do a 2 or 3 pass shave and whether you lather in the Ethos container vs bowl or face lather. As far as not getting the soap Itsallgravy I have missed releases as well due to their popularity but Frank is so hands on I'd call him to save an upcoming release if I were you. But if you don't pay attention and blink you will need to wait for the next release as I have done before.
