You should come visit. Plenty of sunshine and there's always plenty of Belgian beer in my house to share  Big Grin .
Thank you for the offer, Max, and we'll see. I have never been to Vegas. Shy

I know this means nothing to anyone but me, but I really love good beer and haven't been able to indulge in even one for quite a few years. Yeah, it sux to age. My Dr. tells me that I have a atypical prostate. I suspect that it's the hops. I can drink hard liquor, but not beer and my Dr tells me that for most gents with this problem it's alcohol period. I drink a beer and my water worx shuts down. Do you know what that's like to have to urinate and not be able to? It's scary, and it's not something that one wants to repeat.

But this isn't about "boo hoo, crying my eyes out" for poor me.

As an experiment I took 4 "OO" saw palmetto caps the other day, then drank almost an entire 12 oz beer with no problems! That doesn't mean that I can imbibe to my hearts content, but I can once more enjoy a beer now and then at home. At one time I would come home from work and have a few steins on the deck before even thinking about dinner. It's amazing how one can work out the solutions for the world after a few home brews. Then I stopped with the homebrew and the entire world went to hell in a handbasket; or so it seems. Big Grin

I can't drink enough beer to justify home brewing again (oh, they were truly excellent ales!), but a great beer now and then would be wonderful! I don't expect my imbibing now and then to solve world problems though.

This one is...interesting. I think it's the first Lagunitas brew that I don't really care for too much. Apparently I'm not keen on the new sour beer trend.

No you didn't. That's my photo. Anyone can go a few pages back in this thread and see where I posted it. What gives man?! Why would you do that?

I had one of these the other night when I took my son to dinner. He couldn't indulge as he's only 15 but it was delicious. I was already a fan of their 90 Minute IPA. And this one did not disappoint. Expensive but delicious.

Played my first round of golf for the 2018 season....sad, I know. But also enjoyed my first Bier Brewery beer, the PDG. It's an American Pale Ale and, for me, had a great hops flavor

Wine, as always.

Wine is about the experiences and enjoyment. It's the company that comes with the experience of drinking it, and the memories of a great evening. The taste can sometimes be otherworldly too-as if there are these hidden treasures in nature that we can pluck out through good winemaking techniques and get to see firsthand what terroir really means. In this sense, wine captures everything-the earthy pleasures on one end where it tastes like mud sometimes; all up to fruity sensual pleasures at its finest moments where sexual desire is barely contained before catharsis releases within a spoonful or two of wine on your tongue.
