End small containers, size matters

My current containers are 89mm wide (same as Latha and Soap Commander mentioned).  I am in the process of bumping up to 100mm as I am finding I like the larger diameter better as well.   ...stay tuned!

Not trying to be smart with you. Might be the solution is all.

Good idea in theory, I've done it to some soaps... But the problem becomes "where are you gonna store the damn bowl".

Here is something I'm finding more and more important to me in whether I buy a soap or not.  ... stop sending me your soap in SMALL tubs.  

A reasonable complaint. Here is Klar Seifen. The tin is useless.



They sell refills but NOT available in the US. The tins dent easily. But its no big deal. I just move it into any empty container. Even those tubberware things work fine.

I couldn't find the refills that easily in Germany either past year, so it's not unique to the USA either.

I find myself just taking it out of the tin. Its super hard anyhow and slides right out.

This is all the great things about a free market place. Seller can make a product and if it serves enough people to make money then it product succeeds. Some may like it more, some may not like it at all, and some may tolerate imperfections.

Maybe some will adopt these suggestions. Some may not.

I do not like smaller jar of my PdP, but do for my B&M Latha. So who knows...

In many years of wet shaving the new Maggard 4 X 1 1/2 inch PETG containers are the best I have ever used. Perfect dimensions. Wide. Extremely well built, virtually air tight, double walled, perfect threading.  Better built than CRSW tins or anything from Barrister or any other artisan container. Haslinger, Mike's, Mystic and Czech & Speake refills cut/grate beautifully into them.

The new CRSW & Nuavia ceramic crocs are pretty but they are not wide enough and are FAR too deep.  Best discovery so far of 2016. Highly recommended!

I understand, steeleshaves, and I didn't mean to come across as critical. We all have our reasons. I, too, have a reason why I won't buy from certain companies that many would consider petty.

that's why I like and enjoy razorock/Italian barber soaps, good size containers even for monster knot brushes, unbeatable price specially when on sale ( got 4 saps for 20 shipped on sale offcourse), lathers great, great cushion, great slickness, do not dry up on your face....

I'll be going to a larger, heavy-walled jar myself soon, also 4" x 1.5", so no more grating will be necessary!

Those Maggard's jars are indeed awesome. Probably the best plastic jars by far that I've seen.

I'd prefer a slightly wider jar/container myself. it's not a deal breaker, of course, but I do like to keep my soap and suds inside of the container rather than slinging them all over the sink counter.
