One more. PAA Ice pre shave soap. I haven't used all of this but the puck is so small it isn't really usable any longer.

Except for Stirling samples and some of my early sherlock prototypes, I don't think I have ever finished a soap. I have finished a couple of aftershaves though - all commercial offerings - nothing artisan, and all in my cartridge shaving days. Since I became a hobbyist, I ended up with way to much variety to finish anything.

I've actually finished a container of eShave lavender shaving cream and lavender aftershave balm as well as several pucks of Ogallala shaving soap, original scent, bay rum sage and cedar and limes and peppercorns.  That happened in the first year or two of my discovery of traditional wet shaving but since I've really committed and acquired more product than I could likely use in my lifetime (according to my wife) the burn rate has slowed significantly.  What my wife doesn't know is that I plan to live a long time so I want to ensure adequate stock.  Then there's always the threat of your favourite products going out of production for various reasons.  This is an enjoyable enthusiasm.  I've converted my son, my brother and his three sons and a colleague I used to work with to the pleasures of traditional wet shaving.  I think thats quite an accomplishment considering the looks you get from guys if you ever broach the subject in conversation.  "Dude, I'm in to shaving" raises an eyebrow or two.

Yesterday I proudly finished a tub of Castle Forbes Lime shaving cream. It was lightly used when I bought it from someone on the forums, and it served me well through 52 daily shaves. I think it's so much more than just a cream. Closer to a soft soap, and that's how I loaded my brush, right in the tub for about 15 seconds. If I tried that with some of the more conventional shaving creams it would have been a big mess and a very wasteful use of the soft creams. Since I started finishing off one product at a time intentionally (think 3017) in 2012, I've finished off 26 soaps and creams, and 5 tubes of 444 ASB.

Finished a puck of SCS soap. Can't remember exactly what scent it was - something piney and woodsy. I had put it in a generic container, and thought I didn't need to label it. Smile

Anyway, I've worked at it for a few years and now it's done.

I just finished my tub of Tabula Rasa Steam Punk Shaving Soap with this morning's shave.  Before this, I cannot remember the last time I finished a whole tub of shaving soap or cream.  I really enjoyed this soap and should have more coming my way soon. Smile

In all fairness, there was nothing left after this morning's shave so I just cleaned the tub to reuse. Smile
