Does Anybody Actually Use Travel Brushes?

I used to travel with a Wee Scot, convenient, but not my favorite. I now travel with a second generation Simpson Synthetic Badger. Fits in a large Pill bottle, into which I have drilled air holes in the cap and in the bottom.

I am another who prefers to use a regular brush in one of those ventilated plastic tubes (Epsilon makes the ones I have and they are very good, and inexpensive). I think that is a less compromised solution than using a ‘travel brush’.

No special travel brush needed just put your brush in a used (but cleaned) spice container which already has holes in the top for ventilation. You can travel with your $10 cheap Chinese knockoff or your $350 unobtanium hand knot without fear.

After some trial and error I found the Simpson Wee Scot to be the perfect travel brush. Incredibly small and lightweight. Stores easily in a small pill bottle. Whips up a great lather when face lathering directly from the tub. Drys rather fast…Works much better than a small synthetic for me…

I never saw the need for travel brushes, because you can use the regular ones. I take my shaving utensils while traveling only when I have a trip that will last more than a week or during business trips. In such cases, I always need to look fresh so having a brush and a shave is essential. When I was in Germany, I forgot my utensils, so I had to go to a neighboring city to buy some. Luckily I bought some train tickets from DB auskunft, so I could get the shave very fast and get ready for the business meeting I had.

I never saw the need. My dopp bag is not hard to carry whether it has a regular brush or a travel brush.

I have the Muhle Travel Silver Anodized Aluminum Travel Brush . It's a synthetic with a 21 mm ring size. Works for me, but I like a smaller brush.

I had decided I'm out of the brush game ... but you have me reconsidering. Don't see this one your Aliexpress shop, but I like the aluminum one.
