#3 for me

I had an ATT razor about 3 or 4 years ago. It wasn't one that I reached for often so I traded it. I thought about buying one the other day mostly out of that "this is your last chance" fear/hype. But i have really settled in on 2 or 3 razors for daily use and 2 to 3 that get used a couple dozen times a year. There are probably 30 razors in the den that get used once or twice a year (or not at all) and I didn't want to add to that collection.

I felt the ‘last chance’ pull too.  I really debated if I wanted one just because they would no longer be available new from the manufacturer or if I wanted one because I really wanted one.  In the end, I like the concept of a slant and don’t have one.  If it gets used a couple times a month- that’s good enough for me

ATT changed my mind for me.  They ran out of slant caps and had to cancel my order.  Oh well.   They aren’t rare, and if I decide I really need one I can always get one on the secondary market

#3 for me.

I have an ATT SE1 that i won in a raffle at a Maggard meet-up. It had some cosmetic flaws that did not affect the shave quality; that is how it ended up in the raffle.

I purchased some Feather AC Professional blades to use in the razor. It gives a decent shave, but I never fell in love with the razor. Thus, I seldom use it and never was tempted to purchase another.

A few years ago, I bought a H2 baseplate and a topcap when they had a 50% off sale. I acquired a H1 baseplate and was very happy with the H1. I had the H2 baseplate but never used it because I was lazy and didn't want to switch out the baseplates. Soon, ATT were completely sold out of the standard steel cap. I was waiting for the right time to order an aluminum standard cap.
A couple of weeks ago, I got a notice of clearance items and ended getting an aluminum cap($10), and a polished steel handle($2).
A couple of days after receiving the items I got the out of business sale notice.

I purchased the full set a number of years ago.  I never warmed to it for some reason.

Passed it onto my son who absolutely loves it.
