I received my B&M DFS soap on Monday and have shaved with it every night this week.  This is my first Barrister & Mann shaving soap (I don't know how that happened!) and I'm very happy and impressed with the performance and scent!

I have to admit that I was a little worried about the cinnamon used in this soap, but I did not experience any irritation from this soap.  I even way overloaded the brush on the first outing and still no irritation.

B&M DFS LE Shaving Soap is top notch all the way around!  Thank you DFS and Barrister & Mann for making this acquisition possible!  (Even though I needed another soap like I needed another hole in my head! Big Grin) I'm sure more B&M soaps will be finding their way into my rotation in the near future.

Exactly. This may have been blown a bit out of proportion. However, I understand those that have had issues with reactions to cinnamon before. There have been some soaps with cinnamon that light me up, so I used it with trepidation. I didn't experience so much as a tingle with this. While the scent is not what I look for in a shaving soap, I can't knock the performance.

aside from blooming it for like 10 minutes while in the shower, my lather needed almost 0 added water.

That's why: you bloomed it and saturated the top layer.

That's what I do Barrister_N_Mann and I don't let mine bloom anywhere near the 10 minutes that andrewjs18 does.  Even so, the soap almost lathers itself. All three of my B&M soaps (Cheshire,  Rhapsody, and DFS L.E.) lather easily with no extra effort.  Thanks for excellent products, service, and shipping.

Thanks for the tip! My water's hard, and I use very hot water when I load the brush. It usually takes me two or three latherings to dial in a soap I'm not familiar with. I'm sure it'll be great.

Took mine for a spin this morning- the performance, as expected, was top notch with great slickness and cushion. Post shave excellent. The scent, very much opened up and I found the cinnamon to be more of a cinnamon stick scent; more "woody" which I very much enjoyed. The berries were present, sweet offset to the other richer scents for a well balanced soap. I was wondering if and how much I would enjoy this one as I don't typically gravitate to these sorts of scents but it was great!

Well done team.
