I like Roam but apparently its an acquired taste. There really is no middle ground. I haven't found any Barrister & Mann product that I haven't really liked. Leviathan is incredible as is Hallows and I could go on and on. I'm just sorry that I can't get the DFS inaugural aftershave shipped to Canada - the Feds figure its booze and want excise tax or some such silliness. In any case alcohol based aftershave doesn't cross the border.
Marko, I for the life of me can't find Roam- have you seen stock at B&M or elsewhere recently/currently? I would certainly pick up a tub if B&M have reissued.
Hi Kevin, I checked the Canadian sites that I know carry B&M and no luck. B&M sent out an email a couple of months back saying they were discontinuing Roam and discounting their remaining stock so come and get it while it lasts. I got a soap and an aftershave to tide me over. I've gathered from some of the other forums (badger and Blade) that some people really don't like Roam which is what I was referring to above when I said it was an acquired taste. You might be able to find someone who bought it and doesn't like it who would be willing to let you have it. I would also suggest you contact Will at B&M and put in your vote for re-releasing Roam - he's really helpful and I'm sure he'd at least consider it if there were enough interest. I find that I'm partial to scents like Roam and Leviathan and that B&M are one of only a handful of artisans out there who are really pushing the scent envelope along with the top quality of their product. When I say "pushing the scent envelope" I mean in a really good way. There's a difference between "wow!" and "weird!" Good luck.

Sad to say I haven't tried anything of his (I haven't been in the game too long) Almost ordered roam y day. Excited to find out the scent profile!
don't feel bad, I haven't either. I'm on a shaving sabbatical right now...hahaha
I think this thread here is a great indicator of the love his soaps get: http://damnfineshave.com/thread-favorite-tallow-soaps

I might actually shave when I get the soap in. I've got a few new synthetic brushes to try out, a gillette guard razor and then the DFS LE soap, when it comes in.
If you've never used a Barrister & Mann soap you need to be aware that they come with the notice that they are a "thirsty" soap and that you ensure you use enough water while lathering. They won't create an immediate explosion of lather but your patience and attention to hydration will be rewarded with, well, a damn fine shave.

mine is scheduled to be delivered tomorrow as well. my mail typically comes between 12:30 and 1:30pm, so I'll wait until my mail comes before heading into work.

I realise that this is no fault of Will's, just lamenting this unfortunate situation.
