Hello DFS-

My store is www.desmondsbarrow.com

I hope you'll come check it out. Here are some random facts:

I have been open for one week but have been making shaving soap as a hobby since 2013.

I currently have 5 scents.

I also have an unscented soap.

The tin is made of recyclable aluminum and is 10 cm or  3.93701" in diameter.

I'm in Toronto, Canada where it has snowed more in the last two weeks than it did all of last year so I have been mainly shoveling instead of making soap, which is sad. And cold.

I have a currency converter on the website which displays prices in most of the currencies where I ship but for some reason once you hit "checkout" Shopify only displays all prices, including shipping, in Canadian dollars.

Thank you for reading this.

I just tried the orange patchouli last night for the first time. Very nice! It has a very natural and pleasant scent and definitely no complaints about lather and slickness. Glad to have it in the rotation. Thanks, and don't get buried under all the snow Smile

I'd love to try some of your soap but you need to get some cheaper shipping options - $12.79 shipping for a tub of $23.00 soap within Canada is a tad steep.

Yes - point well taken Marko.

Canada Post is the cheapest carrier for these kinds of shipments but unfortunately shipping within Canada isn't cheap and is calculated by weight and distance from the sender. For example, the same tin of soap costs $7.89 to ship in the Toronto area.

I'm offering the rate that I pay Canada Post without markup and in fact I subsidize the shipping costs on all shipments if you purchase more than one tin at a time.

That said, stores that do greater volume can get slightly better discounts than I can get with Canada Post. So I'm going to take another look today and see if I can build in a subsidy for 1 tin orders as well.

Please leave it with me. I'll post back here when I have something to tell you.
